Duggars Under Fire: Jim Bob And Michelle Duggar Criticized For Leaving Country To Visit Jill And Derick Dillard

The Duggars have found themselves under fire again. While it isn’t a scandal like Josh Duggar caused for the family, it is enough to have some fans become quite vocal. The family was generally shown with the eldest girls in charge most days, especially when Jim Bob and Michelle were out of town. Jana, Jinger, and Joy Anna have taken on the roles of mother and housekeeper. With Jill and Jessa married with children, the oldest Duggar girls are in charge. With the rumored upcoming show starring Jana Duggar, it will be interesting to see if this scenario was filmed.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have been catching a lot of heat for a recent decision they made. They decided to visit their daughter Jill and her husband Derick in Central America. The Dillards have been down there doing mission work, and the Duggars decided to surprise them with a visit. According to Starcasm, the Duggars are being criticized for their decision to leave their other children behind while going to visit their daughter. After the scandals they have faced over the last year, leaving on an impromptu vacation was the last thing they should have done. Critics are quick to jump to conclusions regarding the Duggars, and what they have or have not done.

Generally, when the Duggars go out of town, Jana is in charge of running the household. This was featured during an episode of 19 Kids and Counting when Josie had a seizure. She was home taking care of her siblings when the incident happened. Duggar had to call the paramedics for help, and the entire incident was filmed for television. Jim Bob and Michelle were not out of the country during that time, and things could have been worse. Leaving the country to visit Jill and Derick was a huge decision, leaving plenty of responsibilities in Jana’s hands.

In a recent blog post, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard revealed they were facing some tough times in Central America. While they chose not to elaborate, speculation is that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar went to visit because of the struggle. According to People, the Duggars had a great time seeing their daughter and her family. News of the visit just began circulating across social media after both families posted about their visit. The Duggars are now back in Arkansas, with reports of the Dillards following them soon.

Rumors have been circulating that the Duggars may have gone to visit Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard because she is pregnant. While that has not been confirmed, the Instagram photo she shared of Derick painting her toes has sparked curiosity. When Dillard alluded to trouble they have faced, many thought of the Zika virus threat in Central America. While the Duggars’ pictures have not given way to Jill having a baby bump, anything is possible. Something happened to prompt the parents to make a surprise visit to their daughter, and fans want to know what it was.

This isn’t the first time the Duggars have come under fire, and it won’t be the last. From the beliefs they hold dear to covering up molestation crimes, the Duggars have been making headlines since they began appearing on television. A new Duggar spin-off is coming from TLC, though the details are few right now. Many say it will star Jana Duggar, while others believe it will include the entire Duggar clan. Filming for the show was confirmed, but a premiere date has not been discussed. The Duggar family remains larger than life and even through the scandals, they have the support of their faith and friends surrounding them each and every single day.
