Khloe Kardashian & Lamar Odom ‘Closer Than Ever,’ But Has ‘KUWTK’ Star Rekindled Their Romance? [Photos]
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have been through more trials and tribulations in the past year than most couples experience in a lifetime. For the reality TV star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, making the decision to divorce Lamar after substance abuse and cheating rumors swirled was hard. But then rushing to his hospital room after he had been found unconscious following a brothel overdose in October and discovering him close to death proved the ultimate heartbreak for Khloe.
Now, in what many are describing as a miracle recovery, Odom is being shown in photos with Kardashian in his first public apperance since leaving the hospital. After months where some thought Lamar would never again be able to walk on his own or communicate, seeing happy Khloe with Odom is making many ask if the two are back together in a happy ending to their suffering.
“When Lamar isn’t in physical therapy he is with Khloe. They continue to be closer than ever. No one really knows what will happen with them in the future,” said the source. “Khloe is so proud of him. She encourages and motivates him everyday.”
Kardashian herself has been candid in interviews on a variety of talk shows, seeking to emphasize the way that Odom has returned to Keeping Up With The Kardashians clan.
“He’s hung out with Kourt’s and [Kim]’s kids. He loves family time. So, he’s been doing really good. I think it makes him feel good to be around everyone, too, and to just be in a happy environment over obviously where he was,” said Khloe.
And that joy in his recovery and happiness at being with the family showed when Kardashian and Lamar were photographed attending events celebrating Kanye West as a musician and fashion guru as a couple, reported ET.
Odom is now recovering at a facility located close to where Kardashian lives in Calabasas, California. Momager Kris Jenner expressed her joy over seeing Lamar back with the family again in the public.
“Kanye invited him to come, and it’s a big deal for him to be able to come,” said Kris. “I’m excited. For him to have this, you know, this is a milestone for him to be able to travel. So, baby steps. But this is a big one. This is a huge step for him.”
Khloe had previously revealed that she put the divorce on hold because of Lamar’s fragility rather than a reconciliation. But that didn’t stop rumors from swirling that Odom and the reality TV star have hooked up again. So Kardashian took to Twitter to try to squash those reports.
“God forbid exes are cordial right?!?!” tweeted Khloe. “Wtf is wrong with people?!?! People should praise kindness. Not question it.”
“It’s frustrating that I can’t even celebrate my friends birthday with a group of people without rumors flying!” tweeted the annoyed reality TV star. “Why is it hard to believe that exes can be cordial? Simple simple simple minds. Don’t make nothing into something.”
However, the couple has not tried to hide their renewed closeness. Kardashian and Odom were spotted arm in arm heading to a restaurant following Kanye’s Yeezy Season 3 show, reported Hollywood Life.
In addition, staying in New York City for the events, the 31-year-old exited the Waldorf-Astoria with Lamar. And although Kardashian is quick to deny rumors, someone else in the family is dreaming of romance for her daughter and Odom.
Talking with ET, Kris Jenner confessed her dream for Odom and Khloe, which is that they rekindle their love life.
“I think it’s no secret that that’s probably right out there, written on my forehead or something,” admitted Jenner. “Yeah, I mean, I always want my kids to have a happy ending. All of them. And I consider Lamar, he’s one of my kids. So, I fall in love with anybody my kids, you know, bring to me and we have as part of our family. They’ll always be family, so I always want there to be a happy ending.”
