Katy Perry Sides With Taylor Swift In Kanye West Drama, Ends Feud Ahead Of The Grammys?
Have Katy Perry and Taylor Swift settled their differences? Although the two women have reportedly been at odds for years, and Taylor Swift’s hit track, “Bad Blood,” is rumored to be about Perry, a new report claims Perry is totally Team Taylor Swift when it comes to her recent drama with rapper Kanye West.
“Katy will never see eye to eye with [Taylor Swift] and they will share barbs back and forth on each other either by songs or behind closed doors but Katy feels what Kanye did was really low class,” a source told Hollywood Life on February 12.
On February 11, West’s latest track, “Famous,” was released, and in it, he not only claimed he made Taylor Swift famous, he also stated that they might have sex. A short while later, celebrity reactions came pouring in from the likes of Jamie King, Gigi Hadid, Ruby Rose, and others, and even Hadid, who was at the show, said she didn’t necessarily agree with everything said in the music.
Katy “feels bad that [Taylor Swift] has to deal with the nonsense that he brought to things, especially on such an important weekend,” the source continued, citing Monday night’s Grammy Awards, where Taylor Swift is both a nominee and a performer.
“Katy doesn’t have [Taylor Swift]’s back on a lot of things but in this case she definitely does!” the source explained.

In addition to Perry reportedly having Taylor Swift’s back in the West madness, the singer has also reportedly offered up a peace offering by inviting Taylor Swift to an upcoming Grammy Awards party. According to an E! News report on February 12, Perry recently announced she would be holding a private artists-only event on Monday, and on the guest list were both Taylor Swift and Adele.

“It’s just up to their schedules,” Perry said about Taylor Swift and the other invitees.
Noticeably left off the list were managers and publicists of the artists.
“They are not creators,” Perry explained. “They’re important to the creation, but it’s only artists, producers and songwriters. There’s a press opportunity in the front, like a red carpet, but if you want to be more low-key you can arrive via garage. I’m trying to keep it as pure as possible because in the eight years that I’ve been going to these things, I am just always so exhausted.”
According to a 2014 report by Hollywood Life, Taylor Swift’s feud with Perry began years ago after they both dated fellow singer John Mayer. At the time, a source claimed Perry found Taylor Swift to be “fake,” and only out for herself.
The two were also reportedly in a disagreement after Taylor Swift claimed someone had attempted to sabotage one of her tours during an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. Speaking to the magazine, Taylor Swift spoke of someone with whom she had a somewhat civil friendship for years, before beginning to second-guess the relationship.
“She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business,” Taylor Swift explained. “She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour.”
Taylor Swift also said that the unidentified person attempted to hire several of her staff members for her own team without her knowledge. A short time later, Perry sent out an odd tweet about a “Regina George” in sheep clothing.
