Kris Humphries Signs Deal With Brooklyn Nets, Mocks Kanye West

Kris Humphries is feeling pretty good about his $24 million contract with the Brooklyn Nets. The basketball player took a virtual swing at his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s new boyfriend, Kanye West, on Twitter after signing his new contract.

West, who sang about his love for Kardashian in his song “Way Too Cold,” said that he would have Jay-Z (who is a part owner of the Brooklyn Nets) drop Humphries from the team when the Nets moved to Brooklyn.

That obviously didn’t happen.

West rapped:

“And I’ll admit, I had fell in love with Kim/Around the same time she had fell in love with him/ Well that’s cool, baby girl, do ya thang/ Lucky I ain’t had Jay drop him from the team.”

But Jay didn’t drop him from the team. The Brooklyn Nets offered Humphries a two-year, $24 million contract.

Nets general manager Billy King said in a statement:

“Kris has been a very consistent player for us over the past two years… He has developed into one of the top rebounding forwards in the league, and we are very pleased to welcome him back.”

After the deal was done, Humphries wrote on Twitter:

Are you a fan of Kris Humphries? Do you think the NBA player will have a few awkward run-ins with Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Kim Kardashian during his two years in New York?
