Kanye West Disses Taylor Swift Hard In New Album: ‘I Made That B**ch Famous,’ Rapper Claims

Taylor Swift and Kanye West seemed to have made up during the MTV Music Awards last year, but it looks like that may have all been for show. Business Insider and Time report that a song on Kanye West’s new album, The Life of Pablo contains a lyric that seems to be about the country singer. The name of the song is “Famous” and it samples bits and pieces from the classic Jamaican dancehall song, “Bam Bam,” originally sung by a Jamaican reggae singer named Sister Nancy.

“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that b—- famous,” Kanye raps, presumably about Taylor Swift

In case you don’t remember, Kanye West notoriously stormed on stage and interrupted a Taylor Swift acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

“Taylor, I’mma [sic] let you finish,” Kanye said at the time. “But Beyonce had the best video of all time.”

Kanye West streamed his most recent album at a New York fashion show and it was broadcast exclusively on Tidal, a music streaming service that West is part owner of.

The lyric got some attention from people who tuned into the livestream and a lot of it was critical of Kanye.

According to the New York Times, you could hear the sound of an email notification on the Applee laptop that was streaming the album just after the song finished playing. Could it have been Taylor Swift?

As of this writing, there’s been no comment from Taylor Swift on the lyric in Kanye’s song. But other celebrities have commented though, like Grammys 2016 host, LL Cool J. He said that he’s basically looking forward to seeing some reheated beef between Kanye and Taylor on Grammy night

“I say we just let it all fall,” he told Mashable on Thursday. “Let’s just get everybody in the Grammys room and figure it out [more laughing].”

After Taylor Swift presented the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Music Awards last year, most people thought that the rift between the two artists had been healed. But there still seems to be some resentment there. LL Cool J claims that being at the Grammy Awards could help the two celebrities work it out.

“There’s nowhere like the Grammys stage to figure it out,” the rapper and frequent Grammy host said.

There’s no confirmation yet on whether Kanye West will be attending the Grammy Awards this weekend. But it has been confirmed that Taylor Swift will be performing that night. What’s certain is that if those two cross paths, it will definitely be awkward.

Besides the album release Kanye also debuted his new fashion collection, Yeezy Season 3 at Madison Square Garden on the same night. The collection featured artsy sportswear and luxurious fur and seems to indicate a more sophisticated direction for the rapper-turned-fashion designer.

As Vogue reports, Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian and his sisters-in-law all got front row seats to the occasion and were fittingly dressed to the nines. Kanye dressed down though and was clad in a baseball cap, an oversized red T-shirt over and loose fitting pants. But, his oldest child, North West, was the true star of the night, dressed in head-to-toe Balmain. According to Vogue, she spent most of the night bobbing in her seat to her dad’s new music.
