WWE News: This Week’s ‘WWE NXT’ & ‘Thursday Night SmackDown’ Spoilers

NOTE: The following contains spoilers for WWE NXT airing on February 10 and WWE Thursday Night SmackDown airing on February 11.

On Monday Night Raw, A.J. Styles and Chris Jericho came to blows while they both took out frustrations on The Miz. On this week’s WWE SmackDown, they will get the opportunity to settle things in the ring. On WWE NXT, the much-anticipated NXT Women’s Championship match between Bayley and Carmella finally airs.

WWE Thursday Night SmackDown spoilers

This episode was taped in Portland, Oregon on February 9.

  • Chris Jericho opens the show with a promo for his upcoming match with A.J. Styles.

  • The Social Outcasts interrupted A.J. Styles vs. Chris Jericho causing the match to end in a No Contest.
  • Chris Jericho and A.J. Styles defeated Social Outcasts (Curtis Axel and Adam Rose) and Jericho attacked Styles after the match with a Codebreaker.
  • The Dudley Boyz cut a promo explaining that they are done with the tables gimmick and even used Daniel Bryan and the Usos to garner some heel heat.
  • R-Truth rejected another offer from Goldust to form a tag team.
  • While Becky Lynch and Tamina fought at ringside — and Sasha Banks made time to help Lynch — Sasha Banks defeated Naomi using the Bank Statement.
  • A.J. Styles cut a promo on Chris Jericho. The originally-scheduled singles match will now be the main event of the show.

  • The Wyatt Family cut another vague, cryptic promo.
  • The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara & Kalisto) and Neville defeated The Cosmic Wasteland (Stardust and The Ascension) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match.

  • Chris Jericho defeated A.J. Styles in the main event. Each competitor now has one clean singles victory over the other since the Royal Rumble.

WWE NXT spoilers

This episode was taped at the University of Central Florida on January 29 as part of the Royal Rumble weekend.

  • Baron Corbin defeated Johnny Gargano using the End of Days.
  • Hype Bros (Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley) defeated local enhancement talent in tag team action.
  • Alexa Bliss defeated Cameron using a top rope splash.
  • Elias Samson defeated Jesse Sorensen.

  • Bayley defeated Carmella in the NXT Women’s Championship Match. After the match, Eva Maria and Nia Jax come to the ring and attack both women. Asuka came to make the save. She stared down the heels and then stared down Bayley — the latter reportedly received a strong “Yes!” chant from the NXT Universe.
