Justin Bieber Reveals Hailey Baldwin Is ‘Someone I Really Love,’ Explains ‘Sorry’ In GQ
Justin Bieber looks impeccable on his first ever cover of GQ magazine for its March issue. Fittingly, the pop icon and 2015’s biggest comeback superstar is suited in the featured image. The full interview isn’t out until tomorrow, but the magazine has teased gems from the interview amid a gorgeous accompanying photo shoot.
In the profile, which is titled “Let us now forgive Justin Bieber,” the Biebs opens up about his feelings for longtime pal and model, Hailey Baldwin, his past mistakes, and explains the meaning behind his juggernaut hit “Sorry.”
Bearing in mind the interview took place before E! News confirmed that Justin and Hailey are dating earlier this week, the singer confides to GQ that Hailey is “Someone I really love. We spend a lot of time together.”
The couple were recently spotted in San Francisco, attending Super Bowl 50 parties with a group of friends.
Interestingly, despite the tsunami of think pieces on Bieber’s critically acclaimed latest album Purpose, and media reports claiming this and that about his past romance with ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, the Canadian explains that his chart-topping jam “Sorry” isn’t an apology in the way people assumed.
“People ran with that — that I was like, apologizing with that song and stuff,” he tells the magazine, continuing, “It really had nothing to do with that…It was about a girl.”
We’ll have to wait until Wednesday to find out if that girl is Gomez. And, while the good money says yes, evidently there is more to “Sorry” than the obvious reading of it.
On maturing and making mistakes in the glare of the world’s spotlight, Justin admits, “Everyone when they start growing up realizes, ‘Man, I did some dumb s**t when I was younger.’ It’s not just me…”
Despite that admission, the heartthrob sagely adds, “If I could go back I wouldn’t really change much. I think it’s all my journey. That stuff made me who I am.”
Wise words. On that note, head to Spotify to stream the Biebs’ Purpose album, for the perfect soundtrack to enjoy a selection from the Eric Ray Davidson-shot photo shoot for the singer’s inaugural GQ cover.
Well, it wouldn’t be the Biebs without at least one shirtless shot would it?

The golden rule? The Biebs in a black suit and tie never gets old.
With the tabloid media still breathing down Bieber’s neck with ridiculously sensationalized or flat-out false media reports, there’s no doubt the singer is a lightning rod in pop culture.
But, given that he is a long way from his turbulent 2013-14 days, and spent most of last year apologizing for past teen-like exploits, how about we all move on and stop pointing our own imperfect fingers at a 21-year-old? The full GQ story will be available online on February 11.
