Lamar Odom Health Update: Khloe Kardashian Is Sick Of The Questions

Lamar Odom was hospitalized in October after suffering a drug overdose during a visit to a legal brothel in Las Vegas, and a short time after, Khloe Kardashian rushed to his side. At the time, Kardashian and her family were filming the now-airing season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. However, as soon as she and her mother, Kris Jenner, and sister, Kim Kardashian, flew to Sin City to be with Lamar Odom, who was in a coma, production came to an abrupt halt.

As fans saw on last Sunday night’s episode of the E! Network reality show, filming went into hiatus and Khloe and her family tended to Lamar Odom, and didn’t resume until weeks later.

During the episode, E! offered the following statement in regard to Lamar Odom’s health:

When Lamar Odom was first hospitalized, he was believed to be practically dead. In addition to being in a coma, a number of the former professional athlete’s organs were failing, and it was unknown whether he’d ever wake up. Luckily, however, with his family and wife Khloe at his side, he awoke from his coma three days later, and has been recovering ever since.

Amid Lamar Odom’s recovery, Khloe and her family took part in an over-the-top birthday party for Kris Jenner (it was one of Khloe’s first appearances since Lamar Odom’s hospitalization) in early November, and during the bash, Khloe found herself bombarded with questions about her husband’s health.

“I have been asked about [Lamar Odom] 40 times,” Khloe says during a Keeping Up With the Kardashians sneak peek, shared by People Magazine on February 2. “I need another drink already.”

Although Khloe has been a major support system for Lamar Odom in the last several months, she’s also been juggling her relationships with family, including her brother Rob, who was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and her boyfriend, James Harden. She’s also been promoting her new show, and during a recent interview, she opened up about her weight struggles.

“Rob told my dad that my nickname was ‘Khloe Blowie’ and I was like, ‘That was not me, I’m the fat one, who’s gonna want blow—s from the fat girl?’ Being fat really saved me from being a wh–e in life,” she said, according to a Starcasm report.

During the same interview, Khloe admitted that Lamar Odom was a fan of her body, even prior to her weight loss.

“Being fat and then being married … like, I respect [Lamar Odom] because he still liked me fat, which is, like, I appreciate that,” Khloe explained. “That’s a big deal, when a cool person likes you at your worst.”

Lamar Odom and Kardashian tied the knot in 2009, and in mid-2013, they parted ways. When the reality couple split, after filming two seasons of their Keeping Up With the Kardashians spin-off, Khloe & Lamar, it was widely reported that Lamar Odom had engaged in multiple affairs behind Khloe’s back, and used drugs as well.

Currently, Lamar Odom and Khloe are still married, and have no documentation for divorce in the works. However, they have no plans to stay together. While the pair called off the divorce process after his hospitalization, they are expected to refile paperwork to end their marriage as his recovery continues.

For more of the Kardashian-Jenner family, and to hear more of how they’ve dealt with Lamar Odom’s medical crisis, tune into Keeping Up With the Kardashians Season 11, airing on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on the E! Network.
