Laura Gordon’s Instagram: 48-Year-Old Looks 20 Years Younger, Posts Whole Food Diet And Workout Plan

Laura Gordon is making waves online for being a 48-year-old fitness expert who could easily pass for a 25-year-old. That’s because Laura has worked hard at working out — and says that she treats keeping fit as if it were a job. Laura is a real estate broker who hails from Long Island and Lake Grove, New York — but now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. Having worked out since she was a 23-year-old, Gordon is being called a person who has found the fountain of youth through exercise because of her taut butt and toned middle.

Laura works out five days per week, explains the Daily Mail, and doesn’t eat processed food.

Indeed, Laura’s food list on her blog features lots of the typical lean meats, veggies and fruits that plenty of bodybuilders might consume. The fact that Gordon stays away from drowning her food in sauces and doesn’t eat too much sugar helps her stay lean. Laura also explains how putting on 20 pounds in college meant she couldn’t even fit into her jeans anymore and had to wear sweatpants. Perhaps that’s why Gordon finds the best measure of when she needs to cut weight is when her jeans get too tight.

Instead of weighing herself and setting specific weight target goals and such, Laura uses the “tight jeans” factor as a marker in knowing when she needs to cut back any overeating.

Laura’s workout routine is of special interest to those who want to emulate Gordon’s strength training.

Laura explained that she doesn’t do sit ups to keep her abs in check, but always engages her core during all of her workouts and strength training weightlifting exercises. She also adds in 30 minutes of cardio five times per week, usually doing an exercise video. Laura lifts as heavy as she can — increasing the amount of weight she lifts if she can do 10 reps with ease.

Consistency is the name of the game, says Gordon. Yet and still, exercise makes up only 10 percent of the fitness game, says Laura. But that doesn’t mean Gordon is starving herself. Instead, Laura notes that being fit means eating more food to maintain those muscles — but that’s not junk food.

Laura has 521,000 Instagram followers who like to use her tips to help them build their perfect butts and bodies. Surprisingly, Gordon doesn’t love working out, but says that she knows it’s necessary to help prevent things from sagging. Laura doesn’t have kids, but her 39-year-old husband does get concerned about Gordon’s popularity.

Gordon doesn’t like it when family and friends call her “lucky” that she’s thin and can eat anything. Instead, Laura explains that she isn’t fat because she eats healthy and whole food all the time.

Laura’s Instagram came to life when she learned some companies were using her image to try and promote their products. She was 45 when she saw photos of her glutes and legs that people were using that went viral.

“It is very important to me that people don’t use my photos to trick people into buying that nonsense. Fit teas don’t make a person fit, hard work and eating right does.”
