The match takes place in Rwanda with kickoff at 3:45 p.m. local time (1:45 p.m. GMT) and a trip to the CHAN 16 quarterfinals on the line.

In Friday’s match, Nigeria stumbled to a 1-1 draw, meaning they will move on to the next round of the tournament simply by avoiding a loss against Guinea.

As Goal.com noted, the result helped move Nigeria closer to moving forward, but was far from an ideal outcome.

“Still, there lingers a sense of sour dissatisfaction—if the result was palatable in the larger context, it was not within the structure of the game: having taken the lead against the run of play, Nigeria failed to push on, and were deservedly pegged back,” the report noted.

Nigeria got a strong performance out if Chisom Chikatara, the tournament’s highest scorer to this point. He took a pass from Osas Okoro and delivered for Nigeria’s only goal.

It was a late decision for coach Sunday Oliseh to start Chikatara, who was suffering from illness leading up to the game.

“I’m in good shape now. The doctor has done a good job in helping me stop the diarrhea,” a blunt Chikatara told CompleteSportsNigeria.com before the game, when his status was still in question. “I have fully recovered from the diarrhea and fully focused on our next game against Tunisia.”

As Goal.com noted, starting Chikatara one game after he notched a hat trick against Niger was a wise move.

“The coach’s decision to start the hat-trick hero from the previous game here proved justified, as Tunisia retained possession with admirable efficiency in midfield. Chikatara, neither the biggest nor the strongest, varied his movement well enough to keep from becoming isolated upfront, and helped the team up the pitch with his dribbling ability.”

But, Nigeria could not hold the lead, and allowed Tunisia to score an equalizer.

The Super Eagles said they are ready to face the Syli Nationale of Guinea in the CHAN 16 matchup, and said they are growing more familiar at Rubavu stadium. They also have all 23 players healthy, a boost to Oliseh as they take on Guinea and look to advance.

Fans who watch the Nigeria vs. Guinea football match live online will see a chance for either team to advance. While Nigeria can gain the top spot in Group C with any kind of win, Guinea also has a chance to move forward to the quarterfinals, even though they currently sit third in the group.

Coach Mohamed Kanfory Bangoura, coach of the Guinean national team, said they are ready to take on the traditional African powerhouse.

“Of course, we expect a lot from Nigeria. We respect Nigeria but but tomorrow we will give it all to ensure that we advance to the next round,” he told The Cable.

Bangoura also fended off criticism of his squad, saying they had addressed scoring problems and other issues plaguing the team.

“All weaknesses noticed in the team have been addressed and taken care of. Nigeria is not a small team but we are ready for the game tomorrow. We have our objective going into tomorrow’s game against a great nation like Nigeria. But there won’t be any respect for Nigeria tomorrow? because we want to go into the knockout round. We know the Nigerian team and they also know us.”
