Lamar Odom Health Update: Khloe Kardashian Will Re-File Divorce After James Harden Pressure?

Lamar Odom left the hospital after a three-month stay earlier this month, and now, he is continuing his care at a facility in Calabasas, California. Since leaving the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center weeks ago, Lamar Odom has been seen a couple of times, but when it comes to talking to press, he has been completely silent.

Meanwhile, Lamar Odom’s wife, Khloe Kardashian, has continued to keep fans in the loop with Lamar Odom and his health, both in interviews, and on her recently-debuted talk show, Kocktails With Khloe. On January 21, In Touch Weekly reported news of the first episode of the show, which aired on FYI on Wednesday, revealing Kardashian had spoken about her former plans to adopt a child with Lamar Odom during their four-year marriage.

“I always wanted to work with kids, either be a social worker or be a school teacher,” Kardashian revealed after being asked what she strived to be at a young age. Then, she added, “[Lamar Odom] and I wanted to conceive, we wanted to adopt but also foster kids.”

The magazine also pointed out that Kardashian recently spoke of Lamar Odom’s cheating during their marriage, claiming, “It is humiliating on any level, but I found out he was cheating on me the majority of our marriage, I just didn’t know.”

Following her relationship with Lamar Odom, Kardashian dated French Montana, and more recently, she’s been linked to James Harden, but unfortunately, their relationship faced challenges last October, when Lamar Odom was found unconscious after a drug overdose, and immediately hospitalized in Las Vegas. Because Kardashian dedicated herself to sticking by Lamar Odom, her relationship with Harden took a back seat, but luckily, the situation has changed now that he has been released from the hospital, and Harden is reportedly hoping Kardashian will soon move forward with her divorce from Lamar Odom.

“James has been pressuring Khloé to put the divorce back in motion,” a source told Life & Style magazine on January 22. “He doesn’t like that Khloé is still married to [Lamar Odom]. It’s awkward for him.”

And even though Lamar Odom isn’t currently receiving care at the hospital, where Kardashian and her family visited him recently, he is still close to Kardashian, as his outpatient facility is nearby her home.

“James recently stayed at Khloé’s when his team [the Houston Rockets] was in L.A. to play the L.A. Clippers and the Lakers. It was supposed to be a very happy time, but instead, he spent it complaining to Khloé about [Lamar Odom],” the source continued.

Although Kardashian doesn’t plan to stay married to Lamar Odom, she reportedly feels that now is not the right time to move forward, as her husband is still recovering from his traumatic drug overdose.

“She loves James,” the insider added. “But she feels like she needs to give [Lamar Odom] more time to recover before she makes a decision on the divorce.”

Kardashian and Lamar Odom wed in September, 2009, after knowing one another for just 30 days, and remained married for four years. At that point, Kardashian filed for divorce from Lamar Odom amid rumors of drug use and infidelity. However, after he was hospitalized, Kardashian filed a request to have her petition for divorce thrown out so that she would be left in charge of Lamar Odom’s medical care as he remained in the hospital.
