The image above also sheds little information about Yidu and the role she will play. Will she merely be a distraction for Ragnar, who is getting increasing sick of his current wife, Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland)? Or will her role be more significant than that? Interesting to note in this image is the fact Yidu appears to have tears in her eyes. Is she grieving for a homeland she might never return to? Or could she be shedding a tear for a new love in her life? Only tuning into Season 4 of Vikings will reveal all.

“King Ecbert (not pictured) sets the task for his son Aethelwulf (Moe Dunford, pictured, right) to rescue Queen Kwenthrith from opposing forces in Mercia.”
So it appears Queen Kwenthrith’s (Amy Bailey) rule has come into question and she has been captured in season 4 of Vikings. The big question is by whom. We know from the image that King Ecbert supports her, but who has attacked her, Englishmen or vikings?
