Kathryn Edwards Makes Her Debut On ‘RHOBH,’ O.J. Simpson Is Immediately Mentioned: Ties To Nicole Brown Simpson?

Kathryn Edwards and Erika Girardi were added to the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2015, following the demotions of Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards. And while fans have become acquainted with Girardi in recent weeks, Kathryn Edwards will be seen for the first time tonight.

As Kathryn Edwards arrives at a Los Angeles restaurant in a sneak peek at the upcoming episode, she is greeted by co-stars Lisa Rinna, Eileen Davidson, Erika Girardi, Camille Grammer (who returns in a guest role), Lisa Vanderpump, and Ken Todd, but it is Rinna who recognizes her new cast mate from her modeling years.

“She looks exactly the same,” Rinna says of Kathryn Edwards.

Then, after Rinna brings up O.J. Simpson, claiming he was flashing on her more than any of their mutual acquaintances, Kathryn Edwards appears uncomfortable. But why?

According to a report by All About the Tea in September 2015, Kathryn Edwards’ ex-husband, Marcus Allen, a former running back for the Kansas City Chiefs, was accused of cheating on her with Nicole Brown Simpson, who had recently separated from O.J., both during their engagement and during their marriage. As the report revealed, Faye Resnick, a longtime friend of Kyle Richards, exposed Allen’s alleged affair in her book, Nicole Brown Simpson: The Private Diary of a Life Interrupted in 1994.

Although Allen’s lawyer denied the allegations in a statement, he and Kathryn Edwards eventually divorced, and in 2001, she married another former NFL pro, Donnie Edwards.

Because Resnick caused such drama in the lives of Kathryn Edwards and her family years ago, All About the Tea suspected the two are far from friends, and the same may go for Kathryn Edwards and Richards.

During an interview with OK! Magazine, Kathryn Edwards admitted she was “a little trepidatious about Kyle [Richards] just because of her friendship with someone that I wasn’t so fond of.”

As the sixth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continues, fans will watch as Kathryn Edwards comes face-to-face with Resnick and confronts her about their “decades-old feud” over Resnick’s claims regarding Allen and Nicole Brown Simpson.

“I’d never met Faye and I knew she was friends with Kyle. There was a little bit of a history with Faye and I both not having known each other. She had mentioned me years and years ago and I just wanted to make sure when I did meet her I let her know that I didn’t appreciate it.”

In September of last year, while filming the currently airing installment of the Bravo reality series, Radar Online published a report that claimed Kathryn Edwards was causing “chaos” on set.

The model and actress has been “spicing things up and has been speaking her mind,” a source told the outlet at the time. “[Kathryn Edwards] is no shrinking violet, has very strong opinions, and is never afraid to share!”

The report went on to note the drama between Kathryn Edwards and Richards, which was due to her ongoing tensions with Resnick.

“There is drama between Kyle and [Kathryn Edwards] because of her friendship with Faye Resnick,” the insider explained. “[Kathryn Edwards] has a lot of history with Faye.”
