‘Destiny’ Weekly Reset For Jan. 19: Another Trickle Of A Nightfall
Destiny has fallen back into its regular cadence for the January 19 weekly reset. There’s no special event, and even the Knight’s Fall Challenges have started to become routine for veterans of the PlayStation and Xbox shooter. So what is Bungie offering up this week?
The Nightfall presents a fun challenge this week as primary weapons get a boost to damage, but the radar is disabled, players take more damage while airborne, and abilities recharge much slower. The opening fight defending the satellite is the most frustrating part on Nightfall difficulty and some of the modifiers will make it even more so.
King’s Fall Raid Challenge Mode — Golgoroth
The challenge mode twist for Gologorth is that all six players in the fireteam must hold his gaze at least once in the same phase. This means all six players must hold the gaze in succession without receiving the “You’ve failed to capture the gaze” message before passing it around the entire fireteam.
The easiest strategy deduced in the Destiny Reddit group is to start with the normal single orb strategy with a single gaze holder and the rest of the fireteam doing damage from one of the orb pools in the pit. However, instead of allowing the gaze to be lost, the next gaze holder should jump out of the pit with approximately five seconds left on the gaze holder’s counter and take Golgoroth’s gaze by shooting him in the back.
If the Cursed Thrall have not come out yet, the rest of the Fireteam can drop another bubble and do damage to Golgoroth. The entire fireteam should exit the pit when they do appear, though.
A third fireteam member should shoot Golgoroth in the back and take the gaze when the second gaze holder comes near the end of their countdown or before. Then the fourth, fifth, and sixth.
The entire fireteam should pass Golgoroth’s gaze around until all six have held it. When it reaches the sixth gaze holder, it is safe to let the gaze go at this point.
Tip: The last gaze holder should run around the arena to avoid the tracking bombs Golgoroth shoots. Fireteam members should help destroy the tracking bombs, clear minions, and continue to shoot Gologoroth in the opening in his belly.
The above steps of passing the gaze around the fireteam will need to be repeated during each damage phase until Golgoroth is killed. It will take coordination and planning the order in which the gaze will be held.
The rewards for Normal mode are a guaranteed 310 armor piece (excludes helmet) and a Calcified Fragment. The Hard mode loot is the same as normal plus a 320 armor piece (excludes helmet), a 320 Artifact, and an Emblem. The regular Golgoroth loot rewards are also a possibility.

Court of Oryx (Guide)
Tier 3: Kagoor
This is one of the more challenging boss fights in Court of Oryx simply because there’s is a lot going on between dealing with multiple minions, including Ogres, and attempting to gain buffs.
Kagoor is immune to damage until the Servite Ogre is defeated. This Ogre has loads of health, though, and other Ogres to help it, along with Devoured Shadows and Maleficent Eyes. Destroying the Eyes gives a buff called Ogre’s Fury that stacks up to three times and increases the damage done to Ogres.
Players will need to use the rocks and pillars to avoid the Servite Ogre’s attacks and bring it down. Once the Servite is dead, attack Kagoor quickly with heavy weapons and super abilities to bring him down.
