Xbox Live Deals With Gold Offer 50% Discount For ‘Killer Instinct Season 2,’ ‘Sniper Elite 3’ Until Jan. 25
With Xbox Live’s Deals with Gold promos this week, members can get Killer Instinct Season 2 for only half of its original price. Other Xbox One and Xbox 360 games are offered with huge discounts, as well.
Major Nelson provided the full list of Xbox One and Xbox 360 games and add-on content included in this week’s Deals with Gold offering, available to those with an Xbox Live Gold membership. One of the discounted Xbox One games is Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition.
According to Attack of the Fanboy, the fighting game developed by Iron Galaxy Studios, Double Helix Games, Rare, and Microsoft Studios is regularly priced at $40. However, with Microsoft’s latest Deals with Gold, Xbox Live Gold members can easily get it for only half its normal price.
Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition brings in nine new fighters, namely, Kan-Ra, Omen, TJ Maya, Riptor, Combo, Hisako, Aganos, Cinder and ARIA, according to its Xbox Store official page. The season 2 bundle will also let Xbox Live Gold members who will avail of this deal explore three fresh game modes, the Ranked Leagues, Shadow Lab, and Combo Breaker Training.
The post from Major Nelson also shared that the Killer Instinct: Season 2 Combo Breaker add-on is also on sale this week. Originally available for $20, Xbox Live Gold members can avail the add-on 50 percent cheaper.
Meanwhile, those who haven’t tried out the fighting game yet can take advantage first of the free Killer Instinct Season 1 Ultra Edition via Microsoft’s January 2016 Games with Gold offering. Xbox Live Gold members are eligible to download the game without any cost before January ends. This deal does not only give the members the entire first season for free, but it also bequeaths gamers the add-ons such as “Killer Instinct Classic” without paying for anything.
In other Killer Instinct news, fans excited for Season 3 should know that the upcoming installment is firmly set for March release. Destructoid also noted that the newest iteration will be playable during the PAX South event at the latter part of January and during Killer Instinct World Cup event.

Going back to Microsoft’s Xbox Live Deals with Gold promotions this week, the Xbox One title “Sniper 3 Elite Ultimate Edition” is also available with 50 percent discount. The product page on the official Xbox Store described the game:

Xbox 360 owners with Gold membership, on the other hand, can avail the Games on Demand version of “Sniper Elite.” Also priced with 50 percent discount for this week’s Deals with Gold, gamers can purchase it for only $19.99.
Other deals for Xbox 360 users with Xbox Live Gold members include as much as 75 percent discount for games such as Farming Simulator, Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga, and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, the fighting game from Atlus and Arc System Works released in 2013, gets a whopping 60 percent discount. From $60 regular price, the game can now be purchased for only $24, according to its official page on Xbox Marketplace.
For Xbox One owners, discounts are provided for games such as “Hasbro Family Fun Pack,” “Boggle,” “Pure Hold’em,” “Mega Coin Squad,” “Scrabble” and more.
