Fifth Harmony Singer Spills Several Secrets About The Band

Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke Hernandez spilled several secrets during a recent interview, including which member released more than a vocal performance on stage, Us Magazine reported.

The band, a compilation of talented singers formed by Simon Cowell during the X Factor’s run in America, has several little-known facts. The information is so unknown that Hernandez herself had trouble picking which bit of information matched which Fifth Harmony member.

One of the most embarrassing secrets Ally revealed was a cast member relieving themselves before a performance on the X Factor. That member was none other than Dinah, Hernandez dished.

“We were all there for that moment. She was like, ‘Hey, producers, I have to go to the restroom. Please. I can’t hold it in!’ They were like, ‘No, don’t worry, you can go afterwards.’ And when the doors opened… that’s when the show went on! She peed herself.”

Despite the humiliating story, Dinah turned out to be one of Simon Cowell’s favorites. In fact, Dinah Jane was the singer that the former X Factor judge selected as the most likely to have a solo career. The only thing holding her back was her ability to remember all the lines, Ally said.

Another little-known fact is that both Lauren Jauregui and Camila Cabello are from the same city. Despite their proximity, the two Fifth Harmony singers had never met before the show.

“It is so crazy because they only lived like 15 minutes apart from each other,” Ally explained.

The question that seemed to stump Ally the most was which band member is five feet, three inches tall. After guessing the other three girls names, Hernandez finally selected Fifth Harmony member Normani Kordei.

Beyond her involvement in Fifth Harmony, Ally is also extremely active in the March of Dimes. That’s because Hernandez, a demure four feet, 11 inches tall, could have once been served by the organization.

“I was actually a premature baby myself. I came into the world weighing one pound, 14 ounces. My family knows what it’s like to go through the struggle of not knowing if your baby is going to be OK. I’m really excited because I am able to bring awareness about premature births.”

Fifth Harmony stormed on the musical scene in 2015 with their hit song “Worth It” leading the way. For their efforts, the band was named the Group of the Year by Billboard in December and snagged a People’s Choice Award within the last month.

Like their male counterparts from One Direction, rumors have swirled that Fifth Harmony could soon be on hiatus. The fervor around the rumors grew as Camilla Cabello joined Shawn Mendes last year to record “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” The duo met on a Taylor Swift tour and reportedly took only half an hour to pen the single.

Despite the rumors, Fifth Harmony has been working on their next studio album, which is set to be released sometime in 2016. More speculation about the album actually involves a collaboration with One Direction, but none of the rumors have been confirmed. As a way to give back to their fans, Fifth Harmony is currently giving away a free download of their debut album, the Inquisitr reported.

Fifth Harmony will be in concert again soon. The event organizers for Family Gras, a three-day, free concert series in New Orleans during Mardi Gras, announced that the Saturday show will be headlined by the all-female group, the Times-Picayune reported this week. Fifth Harmony joins The Band Perry as top-billed performers attending the event.
