Joey Feek’s days are numbered. Her cancer is aggressively spreading, reportedly causing her so much pain that her morphine had to be quadrupled earlier this week. However, despite her condition, her 22-month-old daughter Indiana (Indy) can always manage to put a smile on her face.
Rory Feek, Joey’s husband and duet partner, has been keeping their fans updated on his blog This Life I Live since Joey was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2014, three months after giving birth to their daughter. Over the past year and a half, Rory has shared frequent updates on Joey’s condition, as well as photos of their family, who are desperately trying to make as many memories with Joey as they can before it’s too late.

Rory wrote about a particular day when Indiana was able to spend a few moments with her mother, and during those moments, she was able to make her laugh out loud for the first time in a long time. Prior to their adorable encounter, Rory had been sent on a mission to get Indiana some new clothes because she was quickly outgrowing the ones she had, as most little girls do. Rory took off to Kohls, picked out Indy some new outfits, and then found something that he knew would brighten Joey’s day. On a rack nearby was a cheerleader outfit with the word “Indiana” written across the front, and because Indy is Joey’s biggest cheerleader, Rory thought it would only be fitting to get it for her.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, over the past few weeks, Joey’s condition has continued to worsen. Her pain is increasing, coming to the point that it is almost unbearable. She’s weak, and most days she can’t even get out of bed. However, that doesn’t seem to stop her from spending as much time as she can with her little girl.

“Like she did that day in August at the hospital in Atlanta when Joey was starting chemo, I think our baby is continuing to cheer her mama on in her fight – the best way she knows how…By making her smile.”
Earlier this week, Rory shared another update, admitting to himself for the first time that his wife is dying. He revealed that Joey had been having many bad days, and she told him she was having serious conversations with Jesus, telling him that if “He’s ready to take her… she’s ready to come home.”
