Lamar Odom’s Family Unaware Of His Hospital Release? Plus, What’s Really Happening With Him & Khloe Kardashian?

Did Lamar Odom leave the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles without his family knowing? At the end of last week, Lamar Odom exited the facility after spending three months under medical care due to a drug overdose suffered on October 13, 2015, at Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch, a legal brothel in Pahrump, Nevada.

“The move did come as a surprise, as they learned about it after reading it online,” a source told Radar Online of Lamar Odom’s family on January 11.

Since Lamar Odom was found unconscious after suffering a drug overdose at the brothel, where he’d been for a few days leading up to the incident, his health has been a hot topic in the media.

And while Lamar Odom’s two children, Lamar Jr. and Destiny, recently visited their father at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the source claimed they were “stunned” to find out he had been transferred to a facility nearby his wife Khloe Kardashian’s Los Angeles home.

“The facility [Lamar Odom] has been moved to is much closer to Khloé Kardashian’s house, and he will be there for six to eight weeks,” the source revealed of the former professional athlete.

Immediately after discovering news of her husband’s condition, Kardashian flew to the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, via private jet, and remained at his side for a few days straight. Then, after Lamar Odom awoke from a coma, he was transferred to Los Angeles, and again, Kardashian remained at his side. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was even seen boarding the medical helicopter, which took Lamar Odom from Las Vegas to Los Angeles.

On this morning’s Good Morning America, Kardashian spoke candidly about Lamar Odom’s health crisis, and the months leading up to his recent transfer from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

“It was really scary,” Kardashian told Lara Spencer, according to a report by E! News on January 13. “When we got to the hospital in Vegas, we were told, you know, ‘There’s only a few hours to live.’ We had to make some medical decisions. There was a lot of challenges, but he’s a fighter, and obviously, he’s here now and he’s out of the hospital.”

For the first couple of days he was in the Las Vegas hospital, Lamar Odom was in a coma, but he wasn’t alone. In addition to his wife, his children and their mother, Liza Morales, as well as Lamar Odom’s maternal aunt, JaNean Mercer, were at the facility with the former athlete, and hoping he would wake up.

While Kardashian has been with Lamar Odom throughout the months-long ordeal, that doesn’t mean the two will soon reconcile. In recent weeks, Kardashian has maintained her support of her former partner, but she’s doing so while juggling her romance with James Harden, of the Houston Rockets. However, according to a source, Lamar Odom isn’t completely sold on the relationship.

“[Lamar Odom] doesn’t believe this romance with James will last, and has every faith they’ll wind up living as man and wife again when the timing’s right,” an insider told Radar Online. But, at the same time, the source added, “Khloe won’t ever get back together with [Lamar Odom]. It’s over. She has moved on, and isn’t looking back.”

In early summer of last year, Kardashian, who filed for divorce from Lamar Odom in December 2013, began dating Harden, and the two have been spotted in Houston and Los Angeles in the months since.
