Kylie Jenner Talks ‘Year Of The Friends,’ Plans To Do Less Of This In 2016

We may be seeing less of Kylie Jenner in 2016.

The 18-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is known as the queen of SnapChat, and it’s no secret that she’s a complete social media maven. But in 2016? Not so much, Kylie said.

In fact, Jenner is calling 2016 “the year of the friends,” and plans to make a real effort this year to reconnect with her friends. Kylie told E! Online that she’d lost touch with some of her close pals in 2015 and remedy to fix that situation as soon as possible.

“In 2015 we all kind of got disconnected. I really didn’t appreciate my friends as much as I should, and they keep me grounded, and if I didn’t have them I feel like I really wouldn’t be myself.”

Kylie Jenner’s questions have some fans asking if she’s trying to send a subtle message about her on-again-off-again boyfriend, Tyga. In recent months, Kylie Jenner and Tyga have hit a rough patch, first allegedly breaking up on his birthday in November, and more recently, dealing with allegations that the “Stimulated” singer may have cheated on Jenner. Since the breakup in November, Jenner and Tyga have been seen in public on a much more seldom basis, and the most recent cheating rumors have many asking if Kylie Jenner and Tyga are still together at all.

We aren’t likely to find out via social media, though. In fact, Jenner hopes that, in 2016, she’ll reveal much less of her personal life via social networking sites. During the E! Online interview Jenner went on to say that she plans to stop spending so much time on social media in 2016, and E! Online reports that Jenner’s New Year’s Resolution was to not be on her phone as much.

“I feel like I’m happier when I don’t read comments, and I’m not on Instagram and I’m not focusing on what other people think about me. It makes me happier.”

So if she’s not spending so much time on Snapchat and Instagram, what will the KUWTK star do?

E! Online reveals that Jenner will continue to work on her makeup line, which kicked off in November with the Kylie Lip Kit. The line included three shades of matte lip color and lip liner, and it was so popular that it sold out almost instantly when it was revealed online. The product line has a long way to go though, according to some reports, as some who placed orders have reported that they never received their lip kits. In addition to working out the kinks in her lip kit line, Kylie Jenner also has hinted that she could release a contour kit. She’s also talked about an eyebrow kit or an eyeshadow pallet, and perhaps all three within the next five years. In December, Jenner told Teen Vogue about her plans for the future.

“I see myself with a really successful makeup line. I want to expand it a lot. For now, I’m going to keep adding different lip colors. I’d also maybe do an eyeshadow palette, an eyebrow kit, or a contour kit, depending on what people want.”

Despite her big plans to expand her makeup line, Jenner told E! Online that she actually plans to tone down her own makeup and beauty routine in 2016. She told the media outlet that it takes a lot of energy to maintain ever-changing hair colors, fake nails, and full makeup.
