Kim Kardashian And Sisters Help Kanye West With New Album, ‘Swish’

The Kardashians are a close knit clan, and Kanye West is clearly part of the family. Kim Kardashian and her sisters, Khloe and Kourtney, are helping Kanye with his newest album, Swish. All three of the sisters are involved with Kanye’s project, not just his wife Kim. There may even be a chance that Kim and Kanye’s daughter North West will be heard on the album! The Mirror reports that the Kardashians have “lent a helping hand” with Swish.

Kanye has asked his family to come down to his studio to help him complete Swish, which is scheduled to be released on February 11. With the release date getting closer every day, excitement is building, and more and more information has been dropping from all corners. MTV reports that Cosmopolitan spoke with Khloe Kardashian, who shared some news about what it’s like for the Kardashian sisters working with West.

“He really cares about our opinions… We’re not artists, obviously, but he respects what we say so much. He is so passionate. He’s like, every bit the meaning of an artist.”

Khloe said that Kanye is dedicated to his craft, but he “respects” the sisters’ opinions. Scheduling can be tricky because Kanye tends to want the Kardashian helpers “all in the studio at different times.” Fortunately, they all “live a block away from each other,” so they can manage Kanye’s sometimes difficult recording schedule demands.

It’s clear to see from Khloe’s comments that the Kardashian family is as close as ever, and working together is certainly coming across as a good time for everyone. Here’s hoping that working on the album will see Khloe, and the rest of the Kardashians, take more steps into the musical world.

Swish will be the first EP by West since 2013, which saw the super-successful release of Yeezus. Yeezus followed the West tradition of success and shifted well over 300,000 copies in its opening week, quickly moving to No.1

Though Kanye has asked the Kardashians to participate in Swish, it is not known if they will actually be singing. It is also not known if Kanye’s young daughter, North West, will be making an appearance herself, though we can always hope!

Kanye’s announcement of the release date comes alongside a tide of information about Swish, with samples of two tracks, “No More Parties in LA” and “Real Friends,” giving fans a pretty clear picture of the mood of the album. Anticipation for the EP continues to ramp up as we near the release date.

The news that the Kardashians might be featured on Swish has some people wondering if we’ll be seeing another Kim Kardashian solo piece along the lines of “Jam (Turn it Up).” If so, Kim’s own musical career might have some competition from her youngest sister, as Bustle reminds us that rumors of Kylie Jenner’s pop-music career have been circulating.

Khloe said that Kanye’s project with all of the Kardashian sisters has “so many songs that… he can’t figure out what he wants to put on his album.” She assures us that “they’re all genuinely terrific songs,” and the quantity of songs affect the quality. Kanye West is famous for his tight, devoted attention to his music and his high-quality production. Judging from the samples we have already heard of Swish, it’s safe to say that the EP will likely continue the tradition, so long as Kanye keeps the Kardashian contribution in line with his own talents.
