Miranda Lambert Issues Shout-Out To New Boyfriend Anderson East: ‘Somethin’ Bout A Boy From the South’

Miranda Lambert has just shared her second Anderson East-related post on Instagram. After confirming her relationship with the Alabama-born R&B star on Instagram last week, the 32-year-old returned to social media on January 12, where she shared a cute shout-out to her new man.

“East first shared a clip — which [Miranda Lambert] later regrammed — of two little pigs grazing on a ranch as cows stare at them through a barbed wire fence,” Us Weekly reported. “In the video, the tiny porkers wear University of Alabama jerseys in honor of the big game against Clemson, which ‘Bama ultimately won on Monday night.”

“‘Somethin’ bout a boy from the south,'” Miranda Lambert captioned the video clip, quoting lyrics from her band Pistol Annies’ song, “Boys from the South.”

Miranda Lambert was married to fellow country singer Blake Shelton for four years before Shelton announced their divorce in July 2015. Then, after months of rumors linking her to singer Sam Hunt, Miranda Lambert went public with East by sharing a photo of the two of them cuddling up in a flannel blanket on social media.

Miranda Lambert’s relationship debut came months after her former husband, Shelton, went public with his romance with Gwen Stefani, with whom he’s starred for two seasons on The Voice. Just months before the couple debuted their love for one another in Nashville at a Country Music Awards after-show (Miranda Lambert was in attendance at the Country Music Awards), Stefani announced her own divorce from her husband of 13 years, Gavin Rossdale.

Although Shelton and Stefani have been flaunting their romance since it began, there is no bad blood between the 46-year-old Voice coach and the 32-year-old ex-wife of her new boyfriend. Instead, claimed an E! News source, the two women are big fans of one another.

“Gwen and [Miranda Lambert] are actually big fans of each others’ music and respect each other as artists. Miranda has always thought very highly of Gwen and thinks she is an extremely talented artist,” the source revealed.

In addition, Miranda Lambert is reportedly unfazed by the couple’s non-stop PDA tour, and wishes them the best as their relationship continues into the new year.

“[Miranda Lambert] is happy that they are doing well and wishes the best for them,” the source said. “Miranda is focusing on herself and enjoying her new relationship. Miranda is in great spirits!”

Although Stefani has yet to speak publicly about Miranda Lambert, she recently favorited one of the singer’s tweets on Twitter after receiving a follow from Miranda Lambert days prior.

“Gwen thinks very highly of [Miranda Lambert] and really likes her music,” the insider continued. “Gwen thinks it’s great that [Miranda Lambert] is dating and in a happy place! Gwen is not the kind of women to be catty at all, and she avoids drama at all accounts.”

Miranda Lambert may have also been remaining silent about her ex’s new leading lady, but the fact that she followed her on Twitter recently speaks volumes. If there was any bad blood between the two women, they would likely not be so cordial online.

As Miranda Lambert’s romance with East gets underway, the singer is also preparing to embark on a new tour. In March of this year, Miranda Lambert is set for a series of shows, which kick off in Europe. She will be joined by Sam Hunt and Kenny Chesney.
