John Krasinski Just Kidding About Wife Emily Blunt’s Hate For His Buff Body

Earlier in the week the Inquisitr reported that John Krasinski outed his wife’s distaste for his new buff body, but as it turns out, Krasinski was just joking around during his segment on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Krasinski, who stars in the upcoming movie 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, told NBC, “I can’t believe people took that the wrong way. I was totally kidding. She is a huge fan of that, but of course, people will write what they want to write. But no, she’s a big fan of it.”

During his time on the show, Krasinski said that his wife, Emily Blunt, didn’t like his new body that he built up for his upcoming film. As the Inquisitr reported, Krasinski and Colbert spoke about his new buff body and how he got into shape for his role as CIA contractor Jack Da Silva. Krasinski referred to it as “a living hell” that he lived through for six to eight weeks, as he was trained by the same man who whipped Bradley Cooper into shape for American Sniper.

John’s workout routine included 80 push ups, pushing weights, pulling sleds, and two-a-days. When he went into it, the actor said that he had no idea how hard it would be. And as for Blunt he joked, “She hates it. She would way prefer to have doughy guy back.” It might have been obvious that Krasinski was joking, but apparently the news made a ton of headlines.

So why is this a big deal? In the grand scheme, it’s not, but there’s Krasinski’s body to consider and the fans that are currently going bananas over his new buff look, which he showed off for Men’s Health.

Fake bickering about his new body aside, John and Emily are making moves in Hollywood. According to the Los Angeles Times, the pair put their Hollywood Hills West home up for $8 million. The home rests on a third of an acre, and is newly renovated from the Midcentury style. It’s described as a home with floor to ceiling windows, complete with brick accents and a kitchen with Italian cabinetry.

Los Angeles Times describes the house in detail:

“More than 4,700 square feet of open-plan space contains a great room, a media room, an office and a wet bar. A freestanding fireplace sits between the living and dining rooms.

“Six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms include a master suite complete with a custom walk-in closet. A soaking tub and marble countertops highlight a spa-like master bathroom.”

Finally, the third floor has a rooftop patio with a dining area, a lounge and a fireplace. The couple also own a swimming pool, and hedges for their privacy. The couple bought the property back in 2009 for $1.86 million.

The pair have been neighbors with late night host Jimmy Kimmel, and their prank war has been widely documented on the host’s late night show. We wonder if these holiday themed pranks will still go on once the couple sell their home.
