Rob Kardashian Health Update: ‘KUWTK’ Star Headed To Rehab After Diabetes Hospitalization?

Rob Kardashian may be headed to rehab following a diabetes diagnosis at the end of last month — and if he does enter treatment, he could reportedly be paid $1 million! According to a new report, Rob Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, has offered her son a major payday if he agrees to go to rehab.

“[Kris Jenner] thinks that one way to get through to him might be by using money,” an insider told Radar Online on January 5.

However, Jenner’s substantial offer is allegedly about more than Rob Kardashian’s health. As the source revealed, Jenner feels that if Rob Kardashian will allow Keeping Up With The Kardashians cameras to chronicle his current health crisis, the E! Network series would likely benefit.

“Kris looks at [Rob Kardashian]’s health crisis as a potential storyline for the show. She wants him to let cameras inside of his struggle because she believes that his downward spiral would make for great ratings!”

“But there is a catch,” the source continued. “She told [Rob Kardashian] that in order to get the money, he must check in to treatment when the show is on hiatus.”

When Rob Kardashian was hospitalized after Christmas, Jenner and her boyfriend, Corey Gamble, were enjoying a vacation in St. Barts, which was understandably cut short after she learned Rob Kardashian had been hospitalized. Days later, after Rob Kardashian returned home, Jenner returned to St. Barts, and to her boyfriend, who had remained on the island as she returned briefly to Los Angeles.

Rob Kardashian quit Keeping Up With The Kardashians in 2012, and since then, he has lived a reclusive life, far away from the cameras. Although he is believed to be living with his sister Khloe, Rob Kardashian is never seen on the show, and at this point, he’s rarely even mentioned. Even now, after his unexpected diabetes diagnosis, a People Magazine source claims Rob Kardashian is still acting like he “wants nothing to do with the world.”

“[Rob Kardashian] doesn’t respond to texts from people that are genuinely concerned and checking up on him,” the source alleged.

According to the report, Rob Kardashian was taken to a Los Angeles hospital days after Christmas after experiencing stomach problems. And while the majority of his family has been on vacation to celebrate the New Year, and the days that followed, they will soon come together in Los Angeles to figure out what they should do for Rob Kardashian.

“The family will come up with a new plan when the holiday is over and everyone is back in L.A. They are of course very concerned about [Rob Kardashian] and have been for a long time.”

After Rob Kardashian left Keeping Up With The Kardashians, he began suffering from depression and gained a substantial amount of weight. During an episode of the show last year, his mom revealed he put on a whopping 100 pounds in just one year, and in the months that followed, he may have added even more weight.

In addition to Rob Kardashian’s possible $1 million payment for entering rehab, a second report by TMZ claimed the former reality star had also been offered a chance at being the spokesperson for “Five Hour Diabetic,” which designs meal plans for patients with type 2 diabetes. As part of the deal, claimed TMZ, the company would use Rob Kardashian’s face on their social media and advertising campaigns.

“The deal comes with a sweet $100,000 payday, plus profit sharing… as well as a lifetime membership for meal plans, and medical consultations,” the site explained.
