Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Dating? Source Says Singer ‘Definitely Still Loves’ Her Ex-Fiancé
Sometimes when celebrities split, it’s obvious that they will eventually get back together.
Other times, not so much. In fact, sometimes it seems beyond unlikely.
File Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth in the “beyond unlikely” category. When the couple called off their engagement in 2013, it seemed as if Liam and Miley would be done forever. At the time, sources reported that Cyrus called off the engagement because she believed that Hemsworth had cheated. Rumors swirled that he had been unfaithful to Miley with actress January Jones.
According to the Huffington Post, the breakup flew under the radar for a while before media picked up on the fact that the couple hadn’t been seen together in public in a while. In fact, Miley may have even tipped fans off when she unfollowed Liam on social media.
They say that time heals all wounds, though, and perhaps in this instance, Miley is ready to forgive her ex-beau. Many fans were surprised by the news that Hemsworth and Cyrus had been spotted together in Australia on Sunday at the Falls Music Festival in Byron Bay. Reports indicate that Liam’s family members, brothers Chris Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth, were also in attendance.

According to a source for E! News, the pair were seen “cuddling and kissing,” and both are considering getting back together. The E! News source said that Miley has never gotten over her four year relationship with Liam, and she “definitely still loves” the Hunger Games actor.
“She feels like they could pick up right where they left off. Miley has never gotten over Liam and always hoped they would get back together. She doesn’t know where it will go, but she definitely still loves him and wants to be with him. Liam has an interest in being back together too.”
E! News reported that security protected the celebrities throughout the night to ensure that no one would take photos of Miley and Liam, though a photo of Miley at the music festival did surface on social media. Liam’s sister-in-law, Elsa Pataky, posted a photo to Instagram of a group of people which included the “Bangerz” singer.
Whether or not Cyrus and Hemsworth commit to a serious relationship remains to be seen, but E! News isn’t the only source reporting that the former Hannah Montana star hopes to rekindle her love affair with Hemsworth. According to Hollywood Life, Cyrus is willing to “do anything” to get back with her ex-beau — including “tone down” her concerts.
“Miley wants to be a couple again with Liam by the time his big movie comes out this summer. She is really loving that they have reconnected and are working on a future and she will do anything to keep it going strong.… They are working on it day by day but she wants to be exclusive and official and have everyone know they are back on with no questions needed to be asked.”
Liam Hemsworth is set to star in Independence Day 2, which is scheduled to be released in June.
Last time around, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth began dating in 2009 after working together on The Last Song. The couple got engaged on May 31, 2012, and reps confirmed that the couple had split in Sept. of 2013, though it is believed that they may have broken up earlier.
