Katie Maloney And Tom Schwartz Engaged: ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Wedding Plans Revealed

Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz’s relationship has been featured for the last three seasons of Vanderpump Rules, and tonight (January 4) fans will watch as they get engaged.

On July 7, 2015, as Katie Maloney and her co-stars, including Kristen Doute, Jax Taylor and Scheana Marie Shay, filmed the fourth season of Vanderpump Rules, her longtime boyfriend, Schwartz, got down on one knee and presented her with a diamond created by Kyle Chan Design, and, of course, she said, “Yes.”

During Season 3, Katie Maloney made it clear that she wanted to take the next step in her relationship with Schwartz, but due to his not feeling financially stable, an engagement didn’t come. Luckily, however, Schwartz had a change of heart ahead of Season 4, and with his co-stars present, he asked Katie Maloney to marry him.

“He did a really good job,” Katie Maloney told People Style of Schwartz’s ring selection. “I definitely gave him not-so-subtle hints about the components that I wanted. But since our friend Kyle Chan designed it, I knew it was all going to be good. It’s better than I could have ever dreamed. But of course I equipped [fellow Rules star] Scheana Marie and other friends with some information just in case he asked.”

Katie Maloney’s co-star and friend, Scheana Marie, wed Mike Shay during Season 3 of the series, and also became engaged on the show’s second season. So, when looking for wedding tips and advice, Katie Maloney has her go-to girl.

As for a wedding date, Katie Maloney and Schwartz don’t appear to have set anything in stone. Instead, Katie Maloney is focusing on other details of the upcoming event like her dress.

“I love a vintage vibe — lace — and nothing poofy,” Katie Maloney revealed to Us Weekly in November 2015. “I will stick to the ivory and white family of colors for sure.”

“I have been planning for this since I was a little girl… I have family and friends to help along the way. Scheana [Marie Shay, Vanderpump Rules costar and friend] has definitely been a beacon of inspiration since she just got married last year. [She’s] shed a lot of light on the cost of things and I’m already getting nervous about that!”

When Us Weekly asked Katie Maloney if she and Schwartz planned to include their co-stars in their upcoming wedding, and air the nuptials on Vanderpump Rules, she stayed mum, explaining, “We’re just enjoying the engagement period for now.”

In addition to Katie Maloney’s big relationship news, there has also been a big change for her co-star, Jax Taylor. Although Taylor has been a playboy for several seasons, and will be seen flirting pretty heavily with new girl Lala Kent on tonight’s episode, he eventually settles down with Brittany Cartwright, his girlfriend from Kentucky. While he said he’d never live with a girlfriend again, he ultimately changes his mind, and the two are currently living together in Los Angeles with their new Yorkie puppy.

In other Katie Maloney news, her former best friend, Stassi Schroeder, will soon return to the series after initially quitting the show in May. However, at this point, it has yet to be revealed what brings her back.
