Teresa Giudice Sends Special NYE Message On Twitter, Breaks Silence Since Release From Prison

For the first time since she’s been released from prison, Teresa Giudice has finally reached out to the public on Twitter. This is the first time Giudice has posted on Twitter since her release from prison, which happened two days before Christmas.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star sent out a message to all of her supporters. Attached to the message is a photo with her family, posing in front of their Christmas tree. Daughters Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana are all smiles, along with Teresa’s husband, Joe.

According to Us Weekly, Teresa went straight to her family’s mansion in Montville Township, New Jersey, upon release from her 11-month prison stint. Giudice was sent to prison for fraud. Back in 2013, she and her husband, Joe Giudice, were charged with fraud, including wire fraud and bank fraud specifically. The two made false claims on loan applications. In addition, Joe Giudice failed to fill out tax forms for the years 2004 through to 2008. It was during this time that Joe brought in $1 million dollars. Despite the two pleading not guilty, the couple were both charged.

Luckily in their case, they didn’t have to serve their jail sentences at the same time. This was arranged so that Joe could take care of their children while Teresa was in prison. Now that Teresa is out, Joe is set to serve his 41-month sentence. The big problem that the family might face is that Joe may be deported back to Italy after his sentence.

Of the possibility of deportation, Joe Giudice told Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live! “I’m not even thinking about it. That’s something you don’t deal with until the time comes.”

During the Housewives series, since Teresa wasn’t allowed to be filmed in prison for obvious reasons, the show would find inventive ways to document the experience that the family was going through while Teresa was in prison. Most of this included phone calls between Teresa and Joe that were filmed. During one episode, Teresa described a scary situation when prison guards had thought she was smuggling in a phone.

“I got shaken down,” said Giudice.

Now that she’s out of prison, it’s reported that Teresa isn’t allowed to hide from the cameras. According to a source, Teresa asked to have a night off from filming The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but that request wasn’t exactly met with a receptive response.

“Real Housewives of New Jersey filming is in full swing, and cameras have been at the house almost non-stop since Teresa returned home. Teresa asked if they could have the night off, and was told no. This was especially upsetting for Joe, because he just wants to have some alone time with his wife.”

As some of you may know, Teresa is under house arrest until February 5, but she has been permitted to go on some outings. Giudice has already been snapped all smiles as she goes out on errands post freedom.

Melissa Gorga, another star of the Real Housewives series who just so happens to be married to Teresa’s brother, said of the reality star’s early release, “It’s a blessing that everyone will be together.” Originally, Teresa’s husband was hoping she would be released in time for Thanksgiving, but that didn’t pan out.

Joe Giudice is set to start his sentence a little after March.
