Jay-Z Interrupts Kanye West During BET Awards [Video]

Remember how mad Kanye West got when people would bring up his blatant interruption of Taylor Swift at the MTV Music Awards? Apparently it’s okay if that same event is brought up by Jay-Z and he makes the reference during a nationally television airing of the BET Awards.

Kanye West and Jay-Z won “Video of the Year” for their video “Otis” which beat out Usher and Beyonce, the very same singer that led to the Taylor Swift controversy.

At first Jay-Z took the mic, thanking various people before he offered Kanye West the mic, just as Kanye began to talk Jay-Z stepped back in and said:

“Excuse me Kanye I’m gonna let you finish but…”

If he was mad about the jab Kanye West didn’t show it, breaking down into laughter.

A quick reactions shot from the house seats also showed a laughing Beyonce as the crowd went wild.

Kanye’s response:

“I’m trying to defend your girl.”

Kanye West and Jay-Z also managed to pick up the aware for “Best Group” based off the success of their collaboration album “Watch The Throne.”

Also with a big night was Beyonce who won for Best female R&B artist and Video Director of the Year which she shared with Alan Ferguson.
