‘Glee’ Star Mark Salling Arrested For Child Pornography Possession [Update]

Life seems to have become complicated for the cast of Glee since the show wrapped. Actor Mark Salling, who played Puck, has been arrested for possession of child pornography. The police showed up at Salling’s house with a search warrant and took the actor in custody shortly after.

According to the Inquisitr, possession of child pornographic materials can land you in prison for quite a while. Just ask former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle, whose life is now in shambles for his child porn and sexual activity with underaged girls. Fogle’s employee, who is also in prison, is calling Fogle a child porn mastermind, and says that Fogle traded his images with others all over the world.

Radar Online is reporting that the Los Angeles Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force had a warrant to search Salling’s Sunland California home. Just this year, Salling was forced to pay over $2 million to his former fiancée for sexual battery.

“There is no truth to this,” Salling’s rep told E! News at the time. “We turn the rest over to Mark’s attorneys and have no further comment.”

The actor’s representatives have no comment, and will not say whether or not Salling has received bail.

Variety has confirmed that Mark Salling is facing serious charges for child pornography. Salling, a Dallas native, is currently shooting a new movie, but it might have to be delayed depending on the outcome of his bail hearing.

LAPD Officer Liliana Preciado confirmed that Salling was taken into custody to be booked downton.

The Daily Mail is reporting that a former girlfriend tipped off police that Mark Salling was up to no good. Research was done in advance to verify that the report was not made for revenge. Sailing’s house was raided early this morning. Salling had just returned from Costa Rica, where he had been for his Christmas break from filming. Police are saying that Salling has had criminal problems in the past.

“In 2011, Roxanne Gorzela claimed he forced her to have unprotected sex and then when she confronted him several days later, he pushed her to the ground injuring her knees. It was reported that the case was settled midway through trial after Gorzela dropped the sexual battery claim.”

People Magazine is confirming that Salling is still in police custody. Officer Aaron Jefferson assisted in the arrest.

“He was taken into custody this morning for possession of child porn,” Officer Aaron Jefferson of the Los Angeles Police Department tells People.

It is uncertain what other information was removed from the house, but police say it is all part of the investigation into Salling’s involvement with child pornography. Regardless, Salling should get offered bail, and should be released facing trial or a plea with the District Attorney’s office in Los Angeles.

**Update**

TMZ is reporting an update from the Los Angles Police Department. The LAPD says that they have now seen over a thousand images of child sexual exploitation on Mark Salling’s computer. Salling expressed that he was shocked, but he immediately lawyered up. The police have seized all of his electronics including his computer, his tablet, and his phone.
