Lisa Rinna Discusses Munchausen Syndrome On ‘RHOBH,’ Doubting Yolanda Foster’s Illness?

Does Lisa Rinna believe Yolanda Foster has Munchausen syndrome? In a sneak peek at the December 22 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Rinna is seen chatting with co-stars Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump about Foster’s Lyme disease, and the possibility of her using the alleged illness for attention.

“Ok, so, I’m just going to read you something,” Lisa Rinna begins. “True Munchausen Syndrome fits within the subclass of fictitious disorder and predominantly physical signs and symptoms, but they also have a history of recurrent hospitalization, traveling and dramatic extremely improbable tales of their past experiences.”

Lisa Rinna went on to explain that those with the disorder “fake disease, illness or psychological trauma to drawl attention, sympathy or reassurance to themselves.”

Throughout the sixth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Rinna’s co-star Foster has been chronicling her battle with Lyme disease and showcasing her struggles. During one specific episode, she attended Lisa Rinna’s party with a friend but left early after falling ill.

Foster claims to have been diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012, a short time after she wed music producer David Foster. Then, in 2014, she suffered a relapse, which left her at her weakest.

While Lisa Rinna was the one to bring up Munchausen syndrome, that doesn’t necessarily mean she feels Foster is lying about her illness. However, she does appear to have a few questions, at least judging by the Bravo footage.

In other Lisa Rinna news, the soap star-turned-reality star has reportedly landed her own talk show. During an episode of Heather Dubrow World earlier this month, Lisa Rinna spoke of the new project with her fellow housewife. According to an iRealHousewives report, Lisa Rinna begins shooting the new series in January 2016.

“I got a talk show,” Lisa Rinna announced to Dubrow, who stars on The Real Housewives of Orange County. “I auditioned my little tush off six times.”

According to the report, Lisa Rinna’s talk show won’t be a solo act — she’ll be joined by three other stars, including actor Scott Wolf, singer Kelis, and Al Jackson.

“We are a motley crew,” Lisa Rinna said of herself and her future co-stars. “You would not pick us for a jury, us four.”

“It’s just going to be fun because you know I love to talk,” Lisa Rinna continued. “What do I love more than fashion? Pop culture. Are you kidding me? I, like, died and went to Heaven. I tested for this thing with so many different people, and it was the most fun.”

While Lisa Rinna’s project will begin shooting in the coming weeks, it doesn’t appear that the mother of two will soon make an exit from Bravo. After all, as she pointed out, the show has been great for her career.

“I’ll tell you what, without doing the Housewives, I probably would not have gotten this show,” Lisa Rinna explained.

Lisa Rinna joined the Bravo reality show in 2014, along with fellow soap star Eileen Davidson, and ever since, her addition has been great for the show. Although she’s feuded with some stars, including Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards, she also has close friendships with the other women.
