Khloe Kardashian Calls Lamar Odom Her ‘Soulmate’ On ‘KUWTK’
On last night’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Khloe revealed that she’s still in love with her estranged husband, Lamar Odom.
It all starts when Khloe Kardashian, 31, discovers Lamar Odom’s August 2015 interview with In Touch Weekly in which he declares that she will always be his “wife” even if she’s dating other men. He even went on to say that these other men would be “wasting” their time trying to date Khloe. The interview took place shortly after Lamar ambushed Khloe outside of SoulCycle one early morning.
“A misunderstanding between me and my wife became public. It’s hurtful. That woman is my wife. Without the ring on my finger. [Even] with her picture being taken with another man, that woman is my wife. She’s [my] soulmate. I can’t control it. We’ll never part. I would never consider myself serious with another woman.”
But after she discovers that Odom has decided to talk about their marriage, she decides to reveal what’s really going on. On Sunday, December 20’s episode, Kardashian revealed that she’s been waiting for Odom to make their marriage work for two years. She even admitted that she’s still in love with him despite all the trouble they’ve been through.
“Everything Lamar is saying is true, I do love Lamar. That’s never been a question if we love each other. But Lamar is all talk and no action. For two years I have wanted Lamar to try. For two years I have wanted Lamar to show me some effort but nothing ever changes. It definitely makes me sad because I still believe he is my soulmate but sometimes we lose our soulmates and that’s okay. Right now I have to do what’s best for me.”
In the episode, Khloe Kardashian also finally forgave her mom, Kris Jenner, for getting involved in her relationship. On last week’s episode, Jenner gave Kardashian’s new phone number to Odom after she purposely changed it so he couldn’t reach out to her. Even Kim Kardashian-West got involved in their feud, saying that Jenner should have never gotten involved in the first place.
Khloe Kardashian has proven that she’s faithful to Lamar Odom since his collapse from an alleged drug overdose at a Nevada brothel back in October. She’s stayed by his side even when was released from the Las Vegas hospital and transferred to Cedars-Sinai Hospital. In an exclusive interview with People, Khloe revealed that still being married to Lamar doesn’t mean that she wants to get back with him.
“There are too many other important things, too many medical things. It’s not even in our brains thinking about us as a couple or having a relationship. I loved him always, and I will always love him.”
Despite still being in love with her husband, Kardashian has been doing her best by moving on from her troubled marriage. She previously dated rapper French Montana and is currently dating Houston Rockets player James Harden. Last month, Kardashian took to Twitter to slam the haters who thought it was unfair that she put her divorce on hold while continuing to date the basketball player. The unidentified online trolls told Kardashian that she needs to choose which one to be with.
But Khloe insists that the divorce will move forward once Lamar fully recovers from his collapse. She then revealed that she always promised that she would be there for him, through sickness and health. She’s not giving up on her word. In her expletive-filled rant, Khloe told her haters to stop believing everything that they read and hear.
“Divorce is still going forward. Doesn’t mean I won’t be there through sickness and health. I’ve proven that. Stop believing everything you read. Not my place to clear up every rumor. I think I know what I’m doing in my life.”
