Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Heat Up Hook-Up With PDA, Meeting Parents & Nashville Engagement Party

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have become the couple that seems determined to prove love can be sweeter the second time around. After her heartbreaking split from Gavin Rossdale and his surprise divorce from Miranda Lambert, Gwen and Blake found consolation in their roles as coaches on The Voice. That led to canoodling as Stefani and Shelton heated up the romance and piled on the PDA.

And now that the show has ended, Gwen and Blake are making it clear that their love wasn’t just for the cameras or encouraged by producers. Stefani and Shelton took their romance to the next level with the all-important meeting of their parents, reported Hollywood Life.

And in the true spirit of the holiday season, Dorothy showed her delight that her son Blake had found Gwen by giving her an adorable present. The framed picture that Stefani received displayed Shelton grasping a frog when he was young. Dorothy also shared stories of her son’s adventures from the past, making Stefani feel even more like a member of the Shelton family.

Dorothy charmed Gwen by telling her how Blake sought to help wild critters when he was a little boy by bringing his mom frogs, an insider told Hollywood Life.

“Blake’s mom Dorothy absolutely adores Gwen. She gave her son two thumbs up on his new girlfriend and as a gift Dorothy gave Gwen a photo of Blake when he was a little boy holding his pet frog. She told Gwen a bunch of stories about Blake’s childhood and how he used to save all the wild animals and bring her frogs.”

But that’s not the only “awww shucks” scene that’s been revealed in the blossoming romance between the country star and his canoodling pop princess. Blake also was introduced to Patti Flynn and Dennis Stefani, who are Gwen’s parents, chatting them up at The Voice season finale.

With parental introductions over with, what’s the next step for Blake and Gwen? An engagement – only not quite the kind you might think (yet). The engagement party that Shelton and Stefani just attended was for singer RaeLynn, and they flew together from Los Angeles to Nashville to attend the festive occasion, according to Us Weekly.

If you’re thinking that the name RaeLynn sounds familiar, there’s a reason. She starred on The Voice during Season 2. And now that she wants to tie the knot with fiance Josh Davis, Shelton showed his softer side when it comes to romance by going all out to help her celebrate (including persuading his own new love Stefani to come along for the ride and celebration).

As for how the former Voice contestant felt about having two superstars at her engagement party, she let her tweet do the talking.

As for when you can plan to learn about an engagement party for Stefani and Shelton? Right now, The Voice couple are enjoying simple, sweet joys, such as riding around in a car laughing together, noted Us Weekly.

While visitors to southern California used to admire mansions owned by stars, now it appears that they can enjoy sightings of Gwen and Blake riding in the same car packing on the PDA. They were seen together following Thanksgiving, and then again deciding to carpool to The Voice.

Throughout early December, Stefani and Shelton were spotted frequently taking a cruise together in the car and giggling (alas, they didn’t share the joke with the ever-present paparazzi snapping their photos).
