‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6 — Every Spoiler We Know So Far (Including The Return Of Jon Snow?)

With the announcement that the new season of Game of Thrones will be airing in April, fans can finally start to plan ahead for all the surprising twists Season 6 is sure to include. With that in mind, here is everything we know about the new season of Game of Thrones.

It’s no secret that Jon Snow will be resurrected when Game of Thrones returns to television. The only question remaining is how the character will be revived. According to Wet Paint, there is a strong chance that Melisandre will have a part in bringing Snow back from the dead, though nothing is certain at this point.

Meanwhile, although the show seemed to be diverting from the books when Jaime decided to visit Dorne instead of the Riverlands last season, it is now apparent the the character will be making a stop in Riverrun in Season 6. Additionally, fans will also see the return of Edmure Tully and Blackfish, who were last seen in Season 3.

Speaking of diversions, there have been reports that a smaller version of kingsmoot will be included this time around, though it will be slightly different than the book. Furthermore, it is expected that Euron Greyjoy will become the leader of the Iron Islands following his bother’s death.

In another exciting development, fans will be introduced to Samwell Tarlys’ family in Season 6. Although the details of such a meeting are currently unknown, it is believed that the rest of the Tarlys will be featured as Sam makes his way to the Citadel with Gilly and the newborn. As far as what goes down in the Citadel, it still isn’t clear how close the show will mirror what went on with the Faceless Man in the book series.

Apart from Snow’s resurrection, perhaps the biggest spoiler concerning the new season involves the fight between the bastards. In fact, the climax of the new season is thought to surround an epic northern battle involving some major houses in the north, including the Karstarks, Boltons, and Umbers, fighting against the wildlings and a few scattered northern houses.

The most exciting aspect of the battle, besides all of the action, is the idea that Snow will be leading the group of wildings. With the fight set to be one of the largest to be featured in the history of the show, it is very likely that it will have significant impacts as the series moves into Season 7.

Elsewhere, Movie Pilot is reporting that fans will also see the return of Bran Stark. As fans will recall, Bran was largely missing from the last season. With the character set to return in the new season, he will likely be joined by Hodor and will be showcasing his mysterious powers.

At the same time, Season 6 will also introduce Ian McShane as a guest star. Although it is not known which character McShane is set to play in the new season, he did reveal that he will be bringing back a character that fans though they would never see again. As mysterious as this sounds, many fans may just be glad to see the Deadwood star join the hit series, whatever role he takes.

Lastly, based on a report by Movie News Guide, fans will be treated to an interesting development between Queen Cersai and Olenna. The two women are set to live in a castle together in season 6, which is expected to result in a war between the queens before it’s all said and done.

The sixth season of Game of Thrones is set to premiere sometime in April 2016 on HBO.
