Liam Payne Hits Back At Noel Gallagher As Fans Roast Mason Noise

One Direction star Liam Payne has finally spoken out about Noel Gallagher’s recent controversial comments about the current crop of pop-stars. As was reported in Inquisitr last month Gallagher labelled Liam and his band-mates “c*********s” and claimed that fame was wasted on all of the current pop-stars with the exception of Kanye West. Now it seems that Payne has finally had his say on the matter as Liam told Radio 1 that Gallagher is “sad” and two-faced.

Liam revealed that, on the day that Gallagher’s foul-mouthed attack was printed, he had met the former Oasis star. Liam says that Noel was friendly towards him when they bumped into each other shortly before Payne became aware of Gallagher’s attack. According to RTE, Liam says that Gallagher is two-faced for being openly friendly whilst trashing him and his band-mates in an interview.

“The funny thing was, I met him the day the story came out. I didn’t know it was coming out, and he came up and said, ‘All right, mate? How are you doing?’ That was on the same day that Noel was calling 1D ‘c*********s’.”

“I was like, ‘Fine thanks, mate. Nice to meet you’. The next day I read the story and thought, ‘How sad is that?’ He completely dissed us. Nice to diss your fans, isn’t it?”

Liam added that he thought Gallagher’s attack was especially “sad” because Oasis were one of his big inspirations when he started singing. According to the Mirror Payne admits that he was an Oasis fan, but Liam wishes that they would “pipe down.” According to Liam there is no point in trashing “half of the music industry” for no reason.

Payne continued by saying that, instead of sniping at other artists, Oasis should be proud that they have inspired people like him to pursue a career in music. Liam concluded his strike-back by saying that he needed to have a “moan” about Gallagher’s comments, but according to Payne he is now “over it.”

Earlier this week, it was reported in The Inquisitr that Liam Payne’s fans were after blood when X-Factor reject Mason Noise made an ill-advised comment shading Liam. Noise, who failed to make the X-Factor final, posted a picture of himself with Liam, and in the caption he described Liam as “one of Harry Styles backing singers.” Noise claimed that he meant no disrespect to Liam and that his comment was meant as a joke.

Liam Payne, Mason Noise

As Noise has found out to his cost, insulting Liam or any member of One Direction, even in jest, is something you do at your peril. Now it seems that Noise has spoken to the Sun and claims that he now fears for his life after a backlash by Payne’s furious fans.

Noise claims that some of Liam’s fans said there was a “special place in hell for him” but he also claims that he received death threats.

“I got told to kill myself by 12 year old girls. I didn’t expect it. Just like you would banter your lads in the pub, it was a funny thing.”

Noise claims that he has no ill will towards Liam or any member of One Direction and is secretly a 1D fan. One Direction fans are renowned for being very defensive of Payne and his band-mates, sometimes overly so. Like any “fandom,” among Payne’s millions of fans there is a small percentage who overreact and behave appallingly badly. Liam would be horrified to read some of the comments levelled at Noise.

That said, Noise revealed his own ignorance about the nature of Payne’s fans when he labels them as “12-year-old-girls.” One Direction may well have been marketed to the “tweenager” demographic when they first started out, but as Liam and One Direction have matured, so have their fans. The simple fact is that Payne and his band-mates have loyal fans of all ages, though the majority are now young adults.

As the comments on Noise’s Instagram photo prove, a small minority of Payne’s fans made inappropriate comments. Be assured that Liam and most fans have no wish to be associated with death threats or nasty comments of any kind.
