Roseanne Barr To Get Roasted By Comedy Central

Roseanne Barr will be the next person in the hot seat for a Comedy Central Roast.

The actress, comedian, national anthem ruiner, and wannabe president will be roasted by various insult comics on August 4th. The special will air the following week on Comedy Central.

Ken Alterman, head of original programming and production for Comedy Central, said:

“Although Roseanne appears to be a demure, soft spoken woman eternally committed to the status quo, we believe under the surface is an explosive, trail-blazing cultural revolution. We are honored to roast her. Celebrating Roseanne’s unprecedented achievements in comedy and television will surely inspire us to make this roast more reminiscent of the classic roasts, where the intimacy of friends jousting with each other came through.”

Barr added:

“All I can say is good luck finding anything about me to make fun of. I mean, I’ve never made a mistake or offended anyone in my life!”

One person Roseanne has offended is her ex-husband Tom Arnold. Unfortunately, the comic said that he will not be appearing at the roast. A rep for Arnold told Anti Music: “He has absolutely no interest in being apart of it.”

Barr, who’s most famous for her show Roseanne, will soon be starring in a new show on NBC. Reuters reports that the network has ordered a few episodes of Downwardly Mobile, a show about a trailer park owner.
