‘RHOBH’ Kim Richards Sober, Preparing For Lifetime Reality Series With Daughter Kimberly Jackson?

Kim Richards is dedicated to her sobriety months after relapsing on alcohol.

In April, after years of sobriety, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where she had indulged in a number of alcoholic drinks. Although staff at the restaurant attempted to remove Kim Richards, who had become a disturbance to fellow patrons, civilly, the reality star refused, and police were called. Once officers arrived to the hotel’s Polo Lounge, Kim Richards requested to use the restroom, and when she wouldn’t come back out, police were forced to retrieve her. She then kicked a police officer, which led to a battery on an officer charge, in addition to charges of public intoxication, resisting arrest, and trespassing.

Although Kim Richards entered rehab just days later in an effort to get back on the path to sobriety, she suffered a few missteps in the months that followed and in August, she was arrested for a second time after allegedly stealing over $600 worth of items from a Target store in Van Nuys, California.

On December 15, TMZ offered an update on the troubled 51-year-old, claiming Kim Richards is doing much better in recent weeks.

“Kim Richards is doing well in her fight to stay clean and sober, but a judge wants to make sure she doesn’t backslide,” the site reported on Tuesday, adding details from recent court documents, which alleged the reality star is required to attend AA meetings.

According to the report, Kim Richards has attended 52 meetings since September, which a judge ordered following her two arrests. In addition, noted TMZ, Kim Richards was sentenced to 300 hours of community service and three years of probation.

As she continues to serve her sentence, Kim Richards has returned to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in a guest starring role after losing her full-time spot earlier this year, and she’s also filming a new series with her daughter, Kimberly Jackson. Last week, Entertainment Tonight Online revealed details of the series, claiming the show would feature Kim Richards and her daughter, along with other celebrities who have troubled relationships with family members, including The Hills‘ Heidi Montag and her mother, Darlene.

While the site didn’t reveal which network the show would air on, Kim Richards’ friend, Brandi Glanville, appeared to spill the beans on Instagram, citing “Lifetime” in the caption of a photo from production. In the photo, Kim Richards was joined by another woman, whose own account featured a photo of herself and Montag, seemingly confirming the project was, in fact, the one mentioned by Entertainment Tonight.

Kim Richards’ sister, Kyle, also recently offered an update on her sobriety.

“I spoke to [Kim Richards] the other day and she was confident and strong,” Kyle told People Magazine for their latest issue. “I was like, ‘Yes! Let’s keep you here.’ There are no guarantees, but I’m excited and hopeful.”

“There are no guarantees for someone who is an alcoholic. I’m always waiting for the end. ‘When is this over? When can we put this away and start having fun?’ But we can’t ever do that. And that’s something I’ve had to learn. I just hope [Kim Richards] will be healthy, happy and sober for the rest of her life. She’s got four amazing kids, she’s an incredible mom and she has a lot to look forward to.”

Kim Richards will return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during the later episodes of season 6.
