David Foster’s Daughter Defends Him Against Critics Who Bash Him For Yolanda Foster Divorce, David Posts Message About Not Making Assumptions

One of David Foster’s daughters have defended him against those who blame him solely for the demise of his marriage to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster and who have accused him for abandoning her at her greatest time of need. On Monday, David posted a photo of himself with some friends, including the actor Rob Lowe.

David’s photo received a barrage of comments from people criticizing him over the divorce. The comments were apparently too much for one of David’s daughters, Erin Foster, to take. Erin is one of David’s daughters from his second marriage to Rebecca Dyer. She left a comment to defend her father, stating that he is a wonderful father to all of his children. She also left another comment that pointed out that many marriages end in divorce and that her father and Yolanda made their marriage vows to one another, not to the public. Erin added that what people see from Real Housewives, which she described as “pathetic,” is for ratings and doesn’t show the truth at all.

“50% of marriages end in divorce, but the end of a marriage of two people you don’t know is so offensive? They both made vows and they made them to each other, not to you. What you see on a pathetic reality show is for ratings, and doesn’t in any way reflect the truth. Move on and feel free to unfollow him.”

Another person, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, also left a comment to defend David. Jennifer is married to actor Tobey Maguire.

“You are watching a show. Not reality. David Foster has been like a second father to me for 20 years. You are all wrong! He is one of the kindest loveliest most caring most charitable men any of us know. His daughters @iamsarafoster@erinfosterare my sisters. I’m so lucky this family is my family. Don’t judge people you don’t know personally. I’m sure people who don’t know you have judged you before and I can only imagine how it hurt you.@davidfoster is as good as it gets! Be kind to people, especially when they need to most. Happy holidays xo.”

Erin Foster and her sister, Sara Foster, currently star in the VH1 faux reality show Barely Famous. The show pokes fun at reality TV stardom. In an interview with Daily Mail Online in March, Sarah said that they’re not making fun of Real Housewives, which Yolanda has starred in since season 3, in particular.

“We’re not spoofing Housewives, or any franchise. This show is about Hollywood and the desperation to be famous, we’re pulling the curtain back.”

Yet it’s clear from Erin’s Instagram comment that called Real Housewives“pathetic” that she isn’t a fan of the show and may have not liked her father appearing on it alongside Yolanda.

Since David and Yolanda Foster announced that they were divorcing two weeks ago, the night Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiered, David has mostly stayed silent on the split. Yet on Saturday, David did post a message warning that people should not make the wrong assumptions as that only causes pain and suffering for everyone.

Since the divorce announcement, which came as a shock to many Real Housewives viewers since there was no hint of marital trouble at all on the previous seasons or on social media, there have been many articles posted on news sites and blogs that paint David is a very unkind light. It has been reported that David wants to be paid back all of the money that he spent on Yolanda’s medical bills and her travels all around the world that she undertook in hopes of finding a cure. Another article on the same site claims that it is Yolanda’s ex-husband, Mohamed Hadid, who is now paying for her medical needs. It has even been reported that David believes that Yolanda was actually cured of Lyme disease years ago and is just now faking it. David also reportedly blames Yolanda and the show for his record label not doing doing well.

Yolanda has defended David. A day after the divorce announcement, she asked that people not judge them. Yolanda stated that she still has love and respect for David and that he has been very good to her.

During her call to Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live talk show last Wednesday, Yolanda Foster admitted that her Lyme disease took a toll on her marriage to David Foster.

“We had a beautiful love story that I will, you know, treasure forever. Unfortunately, it wasn’t strong enough to withstand the certain circumstances that came our way…A chronic long-term illness is extremely challenging. Not only, you know, for the person sick but also for the caregiver. And it for sure changed the dynamic of our relationship but, you know, the truth is we both worked through this difficult time to the best of, you know, our abilities, so, you know, rather than, you know, judging what went wrong, I choose the honor the great times we shared the past 9 years.”
