Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Not Engaged Despite Proposal Rumors, Sources Deny Claims

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani may be heating up their relationship since confirming dating rumors over a month ago, but that doesn’t mean the new couple is ready to settle down just yet.

According to new tabloid rumors surrounding Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s budding relationship, Shelton and Stefani were rumored to have gotten engaged this past week after Blake reportedly flew Gwen home to his native Oklahoma to meet his parents.

The tabloid report further alleges that Blake then “surprised [Gwen] with a marriage proposal,” and that Shelton hopes to tie the knot with Gwen “in the spring,” much to the delight of Shelton’s parents.

Despite the claims, Gossip Cop reached out to sources close to both Gwen and Blake to clarify the engagement rumors, to which sources insisted that the proposal claims are “untrue.”

The latest round of engagement rumors between Stefani and Shelton comes just days after the duo was photographed kissing during a date night out in Sherman Oaks, California.

In addition, viewers in attendance at the most recent taping of The Voice reveal to People Magazine that Gwen and Blake were “inseparable” in between breaks on the show.

“Blake came up to Gwen from behind and kissed her on the head. It was so cute! She turned around looking semi-shocked that he did that,” the witness explains.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s whirlwind romance first sparked dating claims in August after Gwen Stefani filed for divorce from Gavin Rossdale after thirteen years of marriage. The dating rumors between Blake and Gwen further escalated after the duo were reportedly seen getting “very flirty” with one another during recording sessions for The Voice in September, E! News reports. In October, Blake Shelton and Gwen further fueled the dating speculation after they were spotted cozying up to one another during fellow The Voice coach Adam Levine’s Halloween party. Just one month later, Stefani’s rep confirmed the speculation to Us Weekly with the statement, “Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating,” but neglected to offer any further information on the status of their new romance.

Shelton and Stefani’s budding relationship comes just months after Blake ended his four-year marriage to fellow country music star, Miranda Lambert. Following confirmation of Blake and Gwen’s relationship, rumors have already surfaced suggesting that Miranda Lambert is “jealous” and “angry” with Blake for having moved on from their marriage so quickly, however, sources close to Miranda have since dispelled the feud rumors. “[Miranda] was not surprised to hear of the romance between Blake and Gwen,” a source close to Lambert explained to E! News. “Miranda and Blake were on the rocks on and off and knew that this could always be a possibility.”

The news comes just days after Blake Shelton gushed over girlfriend Gwen Stefani in an interview with Extra, telling the site that he doesn’t want Gwen to “not be on [The Voice] next season.”

When asked what the coaches believe has been a “standout moment” for Season 9 of the NBC talent series, Adam Levine, Pharrell, and Shelton all agree that having Gwen as a fourth coach has been their favorite aspect of the current season, with Shelton suggesting that The Voice should add a fifth coach to the series in the future.

While Gwen Stefani will be taking time off from The Voice next season, Stefani admits that she wants to spend her time working on her new record and hints that a tour may be in the works.
