Jill & Jessa Duggar Show Debuts Dec 13 With Josh Duggar Scandal & Duggar Family Shocker: Viewing Details [Video]

Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar have the lead roles in a new TLC show debuting on Sunday, December 13, entitled Jill & Jessa: Counting On. To be shown in three episodes, the Duggar’s new show includes somber revelations about how the family reacted to the sex scandals surrounding Josh Duggar as well as more lighthearted details of how the two sisters competed over their pregnancy bodies, reports Us Weekly.

While shooting the series, Jessa was still pregnant with the baby who was eventually named Spurgeon. The famous Duggar sister and Ben Seewald embraced the arrival of their son, Spurgeon, on November 5. In addition to Jessa’s husband, Ben, Jill’s husband, Derick Dillard, is part of the Duggar family series. Jill and Derick also have a little boy, Israel, whom they welcomed on April 6.

As shown in the sneak peek below, the new Duggar family show puts the emphasis on the two sisters.

Now that Spurgeon is born, the sisters can even trade clothes.

Apparently, prior to Jessa’s home birth, they bickered about who won the prize for biggest baby bump.

“You are not as big as I was, either,” boasts Jill at one point during the upcoming Duggar show.

The 24-year-old describes herself as “massive.”

Jessa disagrees, insisting that she chose dark hues during her pregnancy to disguise her baby bump.

“I always think I’m narrower than I am,” confessed Duggar. “I always think, ‘Oh I can fit through there.'”

Josh Duggar Shocked Family With Scandals

Although such exchanges are upbeat, the Duggar family also reveals the heartbreak and shock felt by the individual members in response to the scandals that centered around Josh Duggar, the oldest son of the family.

The negative publicity began with revelations about the past, when reports surfaced revealing that Josh had molested several underage girls as a teen, including Jessa and Jill. Those revelations from Josh’s child molestation history proved to be only the start of his scandals.

Josh was subsequently linked to the Ashley Madison website for infidelity. He then admitted to cheating on his wife, Anna Duggar, and being addicted to pornography. Afterward, he entered a faith-based rehab for sex addiction.

Jill & Jessa: Counting On debuts on TLC on December 13, Sunday, at 8 p.m.

Josh Duggar’s Brothers Shun Their Former Role Model

The show is not just about the sisters. The brothers of Josh Duggar also are seen voicing their own heartbreak on the new Duggar family show, reported The Wrap.

They recall discovering that their big brother had been unfaithful to Anna, and how they felt about the sex scandals Josh was involved in.

“I don’t think there’s any way any of us would have known that my brother was living such a secret life,” admits Joseph Duggar during the show. “Whenever somebody you respect the most is willing to get up and proclaim what we believe as Christians, about being true to your wife, you’d never expect that person to be the one who’s involved in it, and it broke my heart.”

John-David similarly reveals the impact on the Duggar family with the discovery of what the 27-year-old had done. Before learning about the sex scandals, Josh was a role model, and now that former figure is forever gone, says Josh’s younger brother during the new show.

“I always wanted to be like him. But one of the toughest things I had to tell my older brother was, I don’t want to be like you anymore,” John-David confesses.

Jessa Duggar’s Terrifying Home Birth Nightmare Revealed

In addition, the Duggar family reveals the frightening events that occurred during and after Jessa’s home birth experience when delivering Spurgeon. Although her baby boy arrived safely at home, Jessa was bleeding so much that an ambulance had to be called to the Duggar family home, reported the Daily Mail.

She was taken to the hospital and the entire nightmare — which the 23-year-old described as a “bad dream” — is part of the new Duggar family show. Among the shockers to be shown on the show is Michelle Duggar, the family matriarch, sounding clinical in describing her daughter’s health crisis and medical emergency status.

“Mother is bleeding after birth,” says Michelle of her daughter.

The show also features an interview with Jessa about the home birth scare.

“It was just like a bad dream like ‘how could this happen?'” she recalled.

Athough the show’s title only contains the names of the two sisters, Jill and Jessa, Josh Duggar’s scandals play a prominent role, with his siblings dishing on how they reacted when they learned that he had been unfaithful to Anna.
