Kristin Cavallari’s Brother Michael’s Death Revealed
There’s been a development in the case of reality star Kristin Cavallari’s brother Michael’s death. According to TMZ, who was one of the first sites to report on Michael Cavallari’s disappearance, there’s no foul play discovered in his death.
It’s said that Michael Cavallari most likely died from being exposed to the elements for a long amount of time. At first it was suspected that there might have been foul play, or perhaps a suicide, but both were ruled out as possibilities once Cavallari’s body was examined.
Grand County Sheriff Steven White said of his body’s location: “He was kind of on the slope itself. He was not too far from the bottom but he was actually on the slope itself.”
Of the situation, White said, “This is a tough situation. But there were multiple agencies that assisted this and a lot of people who put in dedicated time and I’d like to thank them for bringing closure to this.”
The search team that looked for Michael was a group of 30 people.
As for the elements, TMZ was told that in Utah temperatures dropped to the frigid teens, and that most likely was the cause of Michael Cavallari’s death. It’s unknown how Cavallari crashed his car, considering his car was found off the road. So far the official cause is still unknown because toxicology reports take two-to-eight weeks to come in.
Rumors ran rampant because, according to sources, Michael was on a bad path. People Magazine reported that a source close to his family said that he had been on a troubled path for a long time.
He also had a long timeline of run-ins with the law. In 2012, Cavallari was charged with petty theft, but the charges were dismissed. In November of 2014, Cavallari was charged with a DUI and found guilty. At the time he was sentenced to three years of probation, including fines and a day in jail.
As widely reported, Cavallari was arrested just days before he went missing. Michael was arrested on November 23 after a woman alleged that he was standing outside of her home with a shotgun. This was after they got into an argument. Michael was held in jail but released after a brief stay.
The last time the family saw Cavallari alive was on November 27, and then he disappeared. He was captured on that same day on camera at a gas station, approximately 75 miles away from where his car was found.

Prior to that, Cavallari seemed hopeful that they would find Michael alive, even though his car had been found without his body, and with all of his electronic belongings.
Despite Michael’s troubled past, sources close to the family said that Kristin was always very protective of him, and that they had a loving brother and sister relationship.

This death comes after the birth of Kristin’s third child, a daughter, Saylor James, with husband Jay Cutler.
