Rob Kardashian Returns To Instagram On The Day His Sister Kim Gives Birth, Mentions Kylie Instead

Rob Kardashian returned to Instagram over the weekend to speak of his sister. Oddly, however, it wasn’t his older sister, Kim, who gave birth to her second child on Saturday. Instead, the reclusive Rob Kardashian gave a shout-out to his younger, half-sister Kylie, who released a line of lip kits last week.

On December 5, around the time Kim gave birth to a son, Rob Kardashian shared a message on Instagram, which read, “I guess someone is disappointed they didn’t get Kylie’s lipkit!!!! Don’t worry buddy more coming soon!”

Although it is unclear why Rob Kardashian didn’t say a thing about his sister’s second child with Kanye West, his failure to mention his newborn nephew may be the result of his ongoing tension with Kim. As fans of Keeping Up with the Kardashians will recall, Rob Kardashian infamously skipped his sister’s wedding to West in 2014. While he was spotted at the airport in Los Angeles ahead of the elaborate event, he ultimately went back home, much to the dismay of several of his family members, who, of course, wanted him to attend the wedding.

Following the ceremony, Kim appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live, where she addressed Rob Kardashian’s absence from her wedding with host Andy Cohen.

“[Rob Kardashian] sent me a long email the morning of, that he was going to leave,” Kim told Cohen, according to a report by People Magazine. “There was no fight… We didn’t even have a conversation about it. I said, ‘You know what? This is my day. I’m not going to worry about it. I totally hope he’s okay.’ I totally understand that he wouldn’t want to go and want to see a lot of people if he’s feeling uncomfortable.”

Before skipping the event after flying to Europe to attend the ceremony, Rob Kardashian had been struggling with a substantial weight gain. Although an exact amount hasn’t been concerned, Rob Kardashian gained so much weight that he was nearly unrecognizable, and because of that, he didn’t feel comfortable at such a public event.

“You can only pray and wish that someone would not miss out on more memories in life, because life is about memories, so fix the problem,” Kim continued of her younger brother.

“I’m definitely a tough-love kind of person. If I don’t like something that is going on in my life, I change it. I don’t sit and complain about it for a year. I’m just a different personality… I try to encourage [Rob Kardashian], and once you just don’t make that change for so long and it’s not happening, I get frustrated. My patience runs out.”

Since the event, Rob Kardashian has continued to face issues of weight gain and depression, and he has not yet returned to Keeping Up with the Kardashians, as was previously expected. Rob Kardashian initially quit the series in 2012, but in September of this year, it was reported that he had filmed scenes for Season 11, which recently premiered on the E! Network. At the time, a source told Us Weekly that Rob Kardashian had lost at least 15 pounds and was preparing for his reality television comeback.

In addition to his weight loss, which was reportedly encouraged by his sisters who have frequently worked out alongside him, the magazine source claimed Rob Kardashian was motivated to get back in front of the cameras by the $2 million per year check he would receive for doing so.
