WWE News: Kevin Owens Vs. Brock Lesnar Being Considered For ‘WrestleMania 32’

Right after Survivor Series, the main programs for WrestleMania usually come out via spoilers or rumors. While it’s all speculation, it’s fair to say that the WWE should start getting their big matches set in stone. Seth Rollins, Cesaro, and Randy Orton getting injured didn’t help, but they are the biggest wrestling company in the world for a reason. The WWE still has many superstars.

Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Triple H, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Kevin Owens will headline the show. Sheamus just isn’t working as the WWE World Heavyweight champion right now, so don’t expect him to be a part of the big plans for WrestleMania. In fact, ratings rebounded for WWE Raw on Monday. Still, the facts prove Sheamus isn’t working.

Since Rollins isn’t wrestling at WrestleMania 32, they should’ve had a plan for Rollins to wrestle Lesnar for the strap, but that cannot happen anymore. In fact, Lesnar’s feud for WrestleMania isn’t confirmed. There’s not speculation for the Beast Incarnate and who he will wrestle. Nobody really makes sense right now.

One man does make sense, and this guy’s already lobbied for a match against Brock Lesnar in recent interviews. According to SEScoops.com, Kevin Owens and Brock Lesnar are being discussed for WrestleMania 32.

“As result of the injuries plaguing the roster, WWE is reportedly starting from scratch with the WrestleMania card. Naturally, Brock Lesnar’s match is a top priority. Owens would get a huge rub by working against Lesnar at the biggest WrestleMania of all time, the promos between Owens and Paul Heyman would be off the charts and the match itself would be stiff as hell.

WWE already blew off Lesnar’s feud with The Undertaker and The Rock’s probably won’t be available for Mania, so Kevin Owens seems to be one of the best options available.”

This match could main event the show, but the WWE World Heavyweight championship should be that spot at the show. The Rock and Brock Lesnar was a feud pursued by WWE officials. It would’ve given two part-time guys something to do, and it’s also a match the WWE Universe wanted since as far back as 2002.

Rock’s schedule is too busy with filming movies, so Lesnar needs a partner to run with. He’s a babyface right now so Owens can remain a heel. It’s not like this is only speculation. Owens recently talked about who he wants to face at WrestleMania.

“I’ve answered this question a couple of times and my answer is always Brock Lesnar, because I’d just love to be in the ring with him and see what it’s like. There’s nobody quite like Brock Lesnar, as far as pure strength and viciousness and everything. I’d love to see if I could hang with him and see how much I could hurt him.”

The only way this match doesn’t happen is if Sami Zayn returns and goes up to the main roster. Before Zayn went up to the main roster, Zayn and Owens were involved in one of the best feuds in WWE NXT history. They had real emotion and strong storytelling, and they continue to have great matches every single night. All they have to do is put them together and gold would be immediately created.

Neither feud hurts Owens but rather pushes him up the WWE ladder even further. Lesnar would give Owens more exposure to the casual WWE fan. With the ratings right now, Lesnar may need somebody in a higher level, but Owens is a perfect foil for Lesnar. If the WWE wants to trust young talent to generate ratings, Owens is their guy.
