Mariah Carey and Wendy Williams are successful women other grown women look up to. Now, both stars are showing off their shocking body transformations and sharing their weight loss secrets.
Mariah Carey, 45, showed off her new body at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on November 26. Carey showed off her new curves in a body-hugging bright red evening gown. She complimented her glamorous look with a white cropped fur jacket, white elbow-length gloves, and diamond jewelry. According to Radar Online, Carey lost 45 pounds in just two months.
“The new photos of Mariah Carey on Thanksgiving suggest that she has lost at least 45 pounds. She looks incredible,” celebrity trainer and nutritionist Charlene Ciardiello told the news outlet.
How did she do it?
“The conventional way of course — dieting and cool sculpting,” claims one of the insiders.
Actually, that wouldn’t sound conventional to most folks. This non-invasive procedure actually freezes the fat and reduces 25 percent of the thickness of fat after a one-hour session, according to celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Tony Youn.
Mariah also lost weight with the help of a nutritionist and chef, according to an insider. Mariah’s billionaire boyfriend, James Packer, has his chef helping her prepare all of her meals.
“James’ chef is preparing every single thing she eats right now. Mariah wants nothing more than to be his wife one day and James thinks that she looks absolutely irresistible with her hot new bod!”
Though insiders claim that Carey used the procedure to slim down, plastic surgeon Dr. Susan Evans thinks the Elusive Chanteuse went under the knife.
“To me it looks like she’s an abdominoplasty, also known as a tummy tuck with liposuction to narrow her waist.”
While Mariah Carey may have needed a little help with her weight loss, daytime talk show host Wendy Williams credits her vegan diet for her 50-pound weight loss. She showed off her new body in Bal Harbour, Florida, over the Thanksgiving weekend. Williams, 51, wore a black ruched swimsuit which showed off her cleavage. The TV personality revealed her new diet in a Q&A video chat last month.
“Because of all the crazy diets I’ve been on, none have ever been as effective as [saying to myself], ‘Just push back, Fatso. Just stop eating so much. I don’t love food as much as I used to. I’ve picked up on other great habits like juicing.”
Wendy also has some tips for her own fans, saying, “Slow and steady is the name of the game. It’s not going to happen overnight.”

In addition to eating right, Wendy says that her workouts consist of “lots of cardio” and “Pilates,” including a meat-free diet. Last month on The Wendy Williams Show, the controversial host revealed that she lost 50 pounds and has since shared some of her tips with her viewers. Williams has been on crash diets most of her life, but she says that the secret to her weight loss is that she learned to take her time with it.
“I no longer believe in fad diets, crash diets. I don’t believe in diet pills. I just don’t want my heart to race and pop out of my chest.”
In her candid interview with People, Williams said that she did get a “jump-start” on her weight loss due to her liposuction and tummy tuck, but she’s proud of being the “poster child” when it comes to plastic surgery and a healthy lifestyle.
No matter how Mariah Carey and Wendy Williams slimmed down, their weight loss is no doubt inspiring to other women who are struggling with their own weight.
