‘Batman V Superman’ Trailer To Premiere During ‘Gotham’ On Monday

The latest trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice is going to premiere during Monday’s episode of Gotham, which will act as the show’s mid-season finale.

Gotham’s YouTube account confirmed that “an exclusive sneak at the new” Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice movie will air during Gotham’s latest episode.

And to promote the new clip for the hugely-anticipated film, the cast of Gotham, including Morena Baccarin, Corey Michael Smith, Robin Lord Taylor, Donal Logue, Sean Pertwee, Erin Richards, and Drew Powell, decided to answer the age old question of who would win in a fight between Batman and Superman.

And, rather unsurprisingly, the stars of the Batman prequel, which revolves around the city of Gotham before Bruce Wayne turned into the Caped Crusader, decided to side with the orphan rather than Krypton’s most famous son.

You can check out the video of Gotham’s cast answering this question below.

It has previously been teased that two trailers for Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice would premiere during both Gotham and Supergirl, which would focus on Batman and Superman, respectively. However it’s not known if Warner Bros. are planning on actually releasing these trailer in this capacity anymore.

This would fit in with what Charles Roven, the producer of Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice who has worked in this role on a number of Batman films over the last two decades, previously confirmed that new footage for the film would be released “before the end of the year.”

Speaking to Collider, Roven explained, “Honestly, you’re going to be seeing something very soon… I don’t know how you define soon but certainly before the end of the year, how about that?”

Roven also admitted during the same interview that he can’t wait for viewers to finally see the film too, explaining that the choice of the title, which has courted some controversy amongst fans, will become clearer once the film has been released.

“You will definitely understand when you see the movie why we call it Batman v Superman… I’m excited to have people see it,” Roven declared. “I think it’s really a wonderful film. I think Zack [Snyder]’s done an amazing job, all of the actors who are in it, we were so lucky. Just think about the cast that we have, from Ben [Affleck] to Henry Cavill, to Amy [Adams] to Jesse [Eisenberg] to Jeremy [Irons] to Larry [Lawrence] Fishburne. Just amazing, and they all really bring it. Really great. Very happy.”

Warner Bros. have already been hard at work on promoting the hugely-anticipated blockbuster. Two trailers for Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice have already premiered, with the most recent clip emerging online in the summer shortly after it had premiered at San Diego’s Comic-Con.

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice will take place in the aftermath of Man Of Steel, which was released back in 2013 to mixed reviews while it also went on to gross over $668 million at the box office.

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice will finally be released into cinemas on March 25, 2016. It will then kick start the DC Cinematic Universe. Suicide Squad will follow in August, 2016, while Wonder Woman and Justice League Part 1 will come in 2017; The Flash and Aquaman will be released in 2018, Shazam and Justice League Part 2 will follow in 2019, while Cyborg and Green Lantern will be released in 2020. Untitled Batman and Superman films are also due out during this period too.
