Anna Duggar is reportedly leaning toward divorce as the scandal from husband Josh Duggar lingers and fans rally to her support while her husband reportedly grows desperate to save the marriage.
Anna played the role of supportive wife a few months ago when it was revealed that Josh had molested a number of young girls in his teen years. Anna spoke publicly in support of Josh, saying that she knew about the incidents and had forgiven him.
But Anna’s mood reportedly changed drastically a few weeks later when it was revealed that Josh Duggar had a profile on the infidelity promoting site Ashley Madison. Later, an adult film star came forward to say that Josh had paid her for sex on more than one occasion.
There have been widespread rumors that Anna Duggar is considering divorce, and now it appears that the marriage may be on very shaky ground.
The Daily Mail reported that Josh and Anna Duggar sold their “dream home” just days after the scandal broke, selling it to a mysterious investment company reportedly connected to the Duggar family. The move was abrupt and unplanned before the scandal broke, the report noted.
“The couple had no intention of selling their new, secluded Siloam Springs home until the Ashley Madison scandal broke, the source told Daily Mail Online.
“‘That was the first home Josh ever owned and up until then they were renting,’ the Duggar insider said.”
Anna Duggar is also getting plenty of support (and her in-laws plenty of scorn) from fans online. Many are lashing out at TLC for its series focusing on Jessa and Jill Duggar, who were reportedly both victims of Josh during his teen years.

The network plans to feature Jill and Jessa in a show called Counting On, which airs in December. Some have come together on Facebook to organize a boycott of advertisers for the series.
“Like this page to take the pledge on Dec 13, 20 and 27 2015 join us in boycotting all Discovery network channels for the one hour they are airing the TLC show Jill & Jessa Counting on 8/7 c This family minimized childhood sexual abuse showing victims they do not matter.”
Others are speaking out against TLC for exploiting Anna Duggar and her pain in the name of ratings.
“Disgusting how TLC & the Duggars will use Anna to gain sympathy yet dissed her in Aug. for not being joyfully available to her husband. I am done with TLC,” wrote Elaine Ewing Spangler (via Raw Story).
The television special will feature Anna Duggar herself, who is seen getting emotional after learning about her husband’s scandalous secrets. It will be the first time that Anna has spoken publicly, saying it was “heartbreaking” to learn about what her husband had done to her.
“It was heartbreaking to hear what had happened,” Anna said.
She is later seen with tears filling her eyes.
Complicating the matter is the fact that Josh and Anna have a newborn together, with Anna reportedly left at home to care for the baby while Josh is in a faith-based rehab for his sex addiction.
There could be more embarrassment ahead for Anna Duggar. Last week a porn star filed a civil lawsuit against Josh Duggar, claiming he was violent during their paid sex session. Danica Dillon is accusing Josh of battery and seeking damages of $500,000.
There are now more reports claiming that Anna Duggar is leaning toward divorce. Hollywood Life reported that the marriage is “clearly on the rocks,” citing an insider who claims that Josh is so worried about Anna leaving him that he is begging her to have another baby with him in the hopes it will keep the family together.
