Lauren Bush Lauren Welcomes First Son With Husband David

Lauren Bush Lauren is officially a mommy!

The model announced that she had given birth to a son named James on Instagram on November 21, adding a sweet snapshot of her new bundle of joy!

“Welcome to the world sweet baby James, born yesterday morning on November 21st at 8:19am,” she wrote. “@davidlauren and I are beyond thrilled and in love!”

David also shared the exciting news with his followers on Instagram.

“Our son James Richard Lauren was born Yesterday. He and his new mommy @laurenblauren are doing great and we feel very blessed and in love!” he wrote.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the niece of former president George W. Bush, and the founder of FEED, announced that she was expecting with her husband, David Lauren, the youngest son of designer Ralph Lauren, in July.

“We feel blessed and excited to welcome our little one to the world this November! #babymoon,” Lauren wrote in an Instagram post that showed her and David on their “babymoon.”

The couple started dating in 2004 and married seven years later during a lavish Colorado ceremony in 2011. At the time of their initial pregnancy announcement, there were several other family members expecting. Lauren’s cousin, former First Daughter Jenna Bush Hager, welcomed her second daughter in August, and David’s sister Dylan Lauren welcomed twins in April.

Many of Lauren and David’s family members and friends have taken to social media to congratulate the couple on the newest addition to their family, including David’s father, designer Ralph Lauren.

“Congratulations to @DavidLauren and @laurenblauren on the birth of their son, James Richard Lauren,” Ralph Lauren tweeted on Sunday.

Aside from her modeling career and her new adventure of being a mom, Lauren is the CEO and founder of FEED, an organization whose mission is to “create good products that help FEED the world.”

Lauren founded the organization FEED in 2007. According to the organization’s website, it all started with Lauren’s idea of fighting world hunger in a very tangible way.

“Every one of our products has a number stamped on it that signifies the amount of meals or micronutrient packets provided with its purchase,” the site reads. “Eight years later, we’ve built a movement connecting our customers to the cause, one bag at a time.”

Lauren created the first FEED bag, made out of burlap, in the image of the food ration bags she saw being handed out by the World Food Programme (WFP). She added the number one to signify that the one bag would provide a child school meals for an entire year.

“It kind of really broke my heart as I learned more about the issue, and then traveling when I was a sophomore in college with the World Food Program, I saw so many innocent lives, especially children, who were literally robbed of their potential because they’re not given the food and nutrition that they need to get by,” Lauren told Elle in a previous interview that was published earlier this year.

“And as a result, when young kids aren’t given that proper nutrition, their minds are stunted; they’re physically stunted. Truly, their start in life is one that is debilitating to them. And again, I certainly didn’t grow up ever having to worry about where my next meal was coming from,” she continued. “The fact that so many people, even in our own country, worry about something so basic, it’s something I really wanted to help do something about.”

Seeing as how Lauren has always been one to want to help children, there is no doubt she will be an amazing mother. Congratulations to the happy couple on the birth of their sweet baby boy James!
