WWE ‘Survivor Series’ Results 2015

WWE Survivor Series results are in, and some pretty interesting things took place, according to Wrestling Inc.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Roman Reigns

Reigns was the first contestant introduced, and the Atlanta crowd was not very supportive of his quest to win the WWE Heavyweight Championship for the very first time. The theme of the match was that Del Rio was working to injure the shoulder of Reigns, which would make him seem more vulnerable in the tournament finals.

Result: Reigns via pin fall

Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens

Excellent match as expected. Both guys showed up at Survivor Series ready to work. There was no need for an additional injury story line in the match since both guys would be viewed as underdogs against Reigns in the finals. The fans were solidly behind Ambrose, as he is the one that the fans were wanting to win the WWE Heavyweight Championship.

Ryback, Kalisto, Sin Cara, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso vs. Big E, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Sheamus, King Barrett

Fans were a bit surprised at this match since there was a traditional Survivor Series elimination tag team match that took place during the kickoff show. This felt pretty random, as the contestants really did not set up a story line in advance. While there were plenty of entertaining spots, including all four members of the Usos and Lucha Dragons flying over the top rope to the floor, the match was hurt by the fact that these guys have teamed together before.

Charlotte vs. Paige

Good match, and the girls worked hard. Unfortunately for them, though, the audience was simply flat. It might not have been the fault of the divas. The crowd simply has not shown a ton of energy throughout the night. Sometimes, they even chanted out of boredom.

Result: Charlotte via submission

Dolph Ziggler vs. Tyler Breeze

It is really hard for Ziggler to have a bad match nowadays. Breeze more than held his own in the ring at Survivor Series. As expected, Ziggler put over the newcomer so that he could gain some credibility with the audience, especially those that are not familiar with the work that Breeze put in down in NXT. The feud between these two appears to be over, and Breeze should move up the ladder towards another baby face.

Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper vs. Kane & Undertaker

Initially, Braun Strowman was supposed to team with Wyatt. However, it appears that WWE opted to go with the better performer in Luke Harper. Match was as good as you would expect it to be. While it might have made more sense to give the younger guys a victory, management opted to make the night all about the Undertaker as a way of celebrating his 25th year with the company.

Result: Kane & Undertaker via pin fall

Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns

Under a different writing team, the story about two best friends fighting to win the WWE Heavyweight Championship for the very first time would be much more entertaining. Nonetheless, it was still pretty good. The two of them worked an excellent match. Ambrose needs to tone down the facial expression just a little because it is borderline comical at times. Excellent move at the end to have the two of them remain friends, as a heel turn would be a bit predictable.

Result: Reigns via pin fall (new WWE Heavyweight Champion)

Roman Reigns vs Sheamus

Since the previous match ended well before Survivor Series was set to go off the air, fans had a hunch that something was going to happen. Triple H came out, got rejected for a handshake and ended up being speared by Reigns. That was the set up. Sheamus showed up with the Money in the Bank briefcase. The two of them wrestled a little before Sheamus ended up beating Reigns with a second Brogue Kick.

Result: Sheamus via pin fall (new WWE Heavyweight Champion)
