Jordan Smith Of ‘The Voice’ Shares Thoughts On Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Flirting

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s romance is something everyone on The Voice is watching happen. Now, contestant Jordan Smith is speaking out about the show and if he thinks this is messing with the actual point of the reality contestant. Smith is actually all for Gwen and Blake’s romance and has nothing bad at all to say about it. Hollywood Life shared the news about what Jordan Smith had to say about this budding romance.

Last night, Blake Shelton made a joke about Gwen giving him a booty call. Honestly, though, this is the type of thing Shelton might have teased about before. These two have been really quiet about their relationship, but it is just now starting, so they may start to reveal more the longer it goes on. Now, Smith is sharing what he thinks about their banter back and forth.

“You have to go with the flow in that moment and understand that it is about your song. But it is also about the show and we are all active participants and roll with the punches! You know… banter like that goes on between all of the coaches.”

Jordan Smith does have a good point because Blake Shelton and Adam Levine have always given each other a hard time, even though they are not in a relationship and never have been or will be. Smith went on to say that it is a good time on the show, and he seems to really enjoy it. This was the first week of the show where Blake and Gwen actually showed off some PDA, and Smith doesn’t seem to think it is taking away from the show at all. Gwen was seen jumping in Blake’s arms, and he even planted a kiss on her temple during a commercial break.

Last night on the show, Jordan Smith shined with his own performance of Selah’s “Great is Thy Faithfulness.” He is a frontrunner on the show for sure, and viewers can’t get enough of him. The New York Daily News shared in their recap of The Voice that Jordan Smith shined during his performance. This gospel hymn went along perfect with the moment of silence at the start of the show for Paris. Jordan could end up pulling off a win for Team Adam if he keeps it up. Jordan performed this song with just himself and a piano, which was the perfect way to do it. This will be a favorite performance from the entire season of The Voice. Smith even made the top of the iTunes charts last night, surpassing even Adele.

Right now, Jordan Smith is a fan favorite, but there are a lot of other people who could do great on this season. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are now dating and enjoying their relationship, but don’t expect this to overshadow the amazing performances on the show. This is just another thing that will get viewers, and Jordan Smith is just fine with what is going on with these two behind the scenes. Hopefully the rest of the performers this season are okay with the romance going on between Blake and Gwen.

Do you agree with Jordan Smith that this is all in fun and doesn’t take away from the competition? Do you think that Smith could be the one to win The Voice this season? Sound off in the comments below, and don’t miss The Voice on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights on NBC. This is a great season.
