Scheana Marie Speaks Out About Mike Shay’s Drinking And Drug Abuse
On this season of Vanderpump Rules, viewers will see the one couple whose relationship they thought was great having their own problems. Scheana Marie’s husband, Mike Shay, is actually battling an addiction to alcohol and prescription pain pills. People shared a bit about what Scheana is going to share on the upcoming episode. Scheana and Mike just got married in 2014, but they are already dealing with a few struggles during their relationship.
Scheana Marie actually shared that things are not as well as she would like at all.
“The truth is everything isn’t great. It’s not perfect. And I keep trying to act like everything’s okay. It’ll get better. I just keep telling myself, ‘It’ll be okay, and it’ll get better.'”
Scheana Marie is sharing that Mike started drinking more around Christmas, but it wasn’t just drinking that he was doing, and she is obviously worried. This was just three months into their marriage. Scheana Marie shared that the bigger problem was that he was mixing in prescription pills with the alcohol.
She said, “You know it’s like, ‘Oh my knee’s hurting so I’m going to take a Vicodin, but then I’m going to have a couple of glasses of wine.”
It got out of hand and has caused some problems in their marriage that will be revealed on the new season.
Mike Shay is on the show, and they even let the cameras catch their wedding. Scheana Marie’s husband has never been an important part of the cast since he doesn’t work at Sur and is just the husband of one of the cast members. It sounds like his spot on the show will be a bit more important this season.
Scheana Marie and Mike Shay are actually one of the couples that seemed to have their act together on Vanderpump Rules. It is sad to see that the are having problems, but hopefully they will find a way to make it through it. In the new preview, Scheana Marie opens up to Lisa Vanderpump and lets her know that everything isn’t perfect. She shares that it is affecting her work because she is upset at home.

She went on to explain that Mike Shay was taking about five Vicodin a day and was drinking on top of that, but at first she had no idea. Now she has figured out what is going on, and it sounds like Scheana Marie is ready to do what she can to fix it.

Just last night, Scheana Marie went on Instagram to share that she was still spending time with Mike Shay. The two are still together, and he is very much part of her life.
Scheana shared a photo along with a friend and said, “Hey @mikeshaymusic babe hold on I gota take a pic real quick. @thetalbott hotel is AMAZING and I’m loving the early Christmas feel!”
Obviously, they are still spending time together and working hard on their marriage. Scheana Marie and Mike Shay seem like a perfect match.
This will all start to come out on tonight’s new episode of Vanderpump Rules, when Scheana Marie finally shares that Mike has a problem and needs help. There is no news out about what he did to get better or how Shay is doing, but viewers can’t wait to hear it. Hopefully, these two have figured out a way to fix their marriage and his addiction problems.
