The historic Cricket All-Stars tour of the United States wraps up Saturday and fans can watch live online for free as the two makeshift sides, captained by Australian great Shane Warne and India batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, and featuring many of the world’s greatest living retired cricket stars, square off for one final T20 match. The match is set to be played at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California, which — having opened in 1962 — is now the third-oldest Major League Baseball stadium in the country.
Check out highlights from the second Cricket All-Stars T20 match, with Warne’s Warriors defeating Sachin’s Blasters to clinch the three-match series at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas, in the video, above, at the top of this page.
“I’ve seen Dodger Stadium only in photographs,” the 42-year-old Tendulkar said Friday. “To go there and play cricket, for a sportsman, it’s something special.”
Other cricket legends making their first visits to Dodger Stadium, at least to play cricket, include the Pakistan “King of Swing” left-arm fast bowling great Wasim Akram; West Indies record-holding batsman Brian Lara; and Kumar Sangakkara, perhaps the greatest cricketer ever to come out of Sri Lanka, and who, at age 38, retired from international cricket only three months ago.
The two teams were picked at random from the group of cricket all-stars on the night before the first match last Saturday at Citi Field in New York City. But Warne’s Warriors appear have got the better of the deal, winning both the Citi Field match and Wednesday’s T20 game in Houston to clinch the three-match series.
Now the team led by the Australian spin bowling great can complete a sweep of the three-match tour with a win in Los Angeles Saturday evening.

In the Houston match on Wednesday, Warne’s Warriors were led by Sangakkara, who came on to bat in the fourth position and posted a match-best 70 off of just 30 balls, with six fours and six maximum sixes as well.
The 40-year-old former Australia all-rounder Andrew Symonds led the way with the ball for the victors, claiming four of the seven Sachin’s Blasters wickets to fall — though he was not very economical in doing so, letting in 70 runs in his four overs.
Warne himself bowled three overs, allowing just 19 runs for no wickets.
Sachin Tendulkar himself accounted for 33 runs for his team, facing 20 balls, as his Blasters came up 57 runs short of the 262 total set by Warne’s Warriors in the first innings. Shaun Pollock of South Africa compiled 55 before being dismissed by Symonds, leading the Blasters.
Warne and Tenduklar say they would like to stage another Cricket All-Stars tour, possibly next year, but no plans have been finalized. The crowds that turned out both in Houston and New York were overwhelmingly comprised of Indian and other South Asian expatriates, and people whose families recently came to the U.S. from that region.
“I think we’ll have to take gradual steps,” Warne said after the Houston match. “We’re not going to get 25,000 Americans watching overnight but it has to start somewhere. I’m sure among these spectators, even if there are two percent Americans, then that two percent is better than nothing. Over the years, cricket was not played here at this scale. Now slowly, slowly it’s going to start.”
