Donald Trump: Larry David Yells ‘You’re A Racist!’ During ‘SNL’ Opening To Claim $5,000 [Video]

Going into this evening’s performance of Saturday Night Live, many had protested the appearance of Donald Trump as host, as reported by the Inquisitr. Perhaps surprisingly, this evening’s show wasn’t the first time Trump has appeared on the weekly comedy show. Trump hosted SNL in April of 2004, according to NBC.

Donald Trump was reported to have said no to some of the racier suggestions put forward by SNL writers for the show, according to Carter Matt. It was reported that NBC was likely “beefing up” security during the show in an attempt to try and put a stop to hecklers, according to HNGN.

One group was even reported to offer $5,000 to anyone who disrupted the broadcast by shouting “racist” while Trump was onstage.

During Trump’s opening segment, impersonators Taran Killam and Darrell Hammond appeared on stage with the Republican presidential candidate, drawing laughs as the talented actors delivered excellent impersonations, each with their own highly entertaining nuances, while standing right beside Trump, who, to his credit, was laughing along like a great sport.

During a pause in the skit, a voice could be heard shouting “You’re a racist!”

Given the news that cash had been offered to anyone who tried to disrupt the show, many viewers likely believed that a member of the audience had successfully managed to disrupt the show and earn $5,000.

The camera swung to a wing of the studio, where Larry David stood under a spotlight, and could be heard explaining that he hoped to collect the $5,000 being offered. CNN reports that the group, DeportRacism.com, intends to give David the money. The opening sketch featured David delivering a spot-on impersonation of Bernie Sanders in a mock forum that also featured Kate McKinnon doing her well-known Hillary Clinton impersonation.

Following Trump’s opening monologue, interrupted by Larry David shouting that he was a racist, was a sketch featuring the Oval Office with Trump as president, with Melania Trump by his side.

Trump’s daughter, Ivanka arrived and was announced as secretary of the interior, who reported to her father that a plan was ahead of schedule and under budget, to install private swimming pools and cabanas, as well as a plan to cover the Washington Monument in gold.

The president of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, then arrived, bringing a check to pay for “the wall” and Donald insisted that it’s too much, but then then the Mexican President said that “nothing brings two countries together like a wall.”

Then the American people called and want to speak with Trump, because they’re just so sick of winning.

“Winning is the price you have to pay. Winning is tough. It’s not easy,” Trump stated in reply to the American people.

The sketch then ended with a plug for “The Melania For First Lady Foundation.”

A sketch about “bad girls” followed, which included a woman asking for a water cup at a restaurant and then stealing lemonade with it. A second part of the bad girls sketch involved a woman telling a lie about her friend being in the bathroom at a restaurant when she was really in the bathroom at home, after the host had informed her that the restaurant only seats full groups.

The clip then turned to a sports car doing donuts in an industrial park with “like 50 women” firing fully automatic weapons into the air.

After a commercial break, Trump then appeared explaining that he would not be appearing in the next sketch, but that he would be live-tweeting it instead. The skit included tweets looking like they came from Donald Trump’s twitter account, harshly criticizing the actors appearing across the bottom of the screen. Trump appeared to make reference to it earlier in the day on Twitter. The tweets from the sketch did not appear on his real account, however.

The premise of “Crippled America” How To Make America Great Again, Trump’s new book, was questioned by Michael Che. The SNL newscaster asked what period of America’s history Trump was hoping to restore the nation to.

Trump then appeared in a sketch about a “laser harp” player who threatened to quit his band because he wasn’t given enough stage time. When finally given a chance to show the audience his moves on the laser harp, Trump’s playing was so awful that he cleared the bar the band was playing in of patrons.
